Palm Sunday Parade for Christ
Pastor George writes to me from India that on Palm Sunday 2009, he traveled almost six hours from his own city in India, and reached a small village in a far away district. Most of the people there are illiterates, teenagers and kids studying how to read. A small group of believers and seekers gathered in a small village – about 15 kids, 13 teens and 12 adults gathered for worship.
Pastor George and that Palm Sunday congregation marched around the village shouting, “Hosanna King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” A few more Hindus joined the procession for Christ. Then when the “Jesus March” reached the church campus, the crowd had grown into a mixed gathering. Then after singing songs of praise, Pastor George preached an expository sermon from Luke 19.
Please pray for Pastor George and his wife Priscilla who are called as native missionaries to reach the needy and neglected people groups in India for Christ. Pastor George is a seasoned missionary/teacher conducting seminars when he is in America on how to reach Hindus and Muslims for Christ.
