Light On – Light Off

It is no big revelation that LIFE requires LIGHT. Without LIGHT, LIFE cannot be lived, sustained, or nourished.

It is no mystery why God in Genesis 1 created LIGHT before He created LIFE. He knows all things, and we must learn from His created order.

Fact is, all of creation is dependent upon 🌞 sunlight. Our very bones need Vitamin D that comes from the sun. Without Vitamin D our bones cannot absorb calcium so that they can grow💪 strong and sturdy.

The inescapable truth about the all-importance of light 🌟 is stated so profoundly in the title of the song,

“YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE.”

To say that you are my LIGHT is the same thing as saying you are my LIFE.

THE EXCLUSIVENESS OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS

We read in Psalm 119:130,

“THE ENTRANCE OF THY WORD GIVETH LIGHT.”

In other words:

“Everywhere GOD’S WORD makes an ENTRANCE, things LIGHT UP.”

By the same token:

“Everywhere GOD’S WORD is REMOVED, things GO DARK.”

Now we are talking about two mutual EXCLUSIVES. That is to say:

“LIGHT AND DARKNESS CANNOT COEXIST.”

Or as the II Corinthians 6:14 asks,

“And what FELLOWSHIP hath LIGHT with DARKNESS.”

The answer of course is NONE. In fact, LIGHT and DARKNESS CANNOT even be in the same room together, let alone have fellowship together.

So totally incompatible are DARKNESS and LIGHT that even a match or candle when lit makes darkness immediately leave.

Honestly, it is obvious to me that many people do not believe that LIGHT and DARKNESS are in fact complete OPPOSITES. Including some religious people.

We live in the last days when people are trying to play both ends to the middle. In other words,

“Manipulating competitors into compatibles in order to benefit the manipulator.”

I have met the dear mother who believes in Jesus, and who accepts her homosexual son as a citizen of the Kingdom of Light. The Word of God teaches us the exact opposite in many places.

Well then:

-LOVE will never be compatible with HATE!
-COLD will never be compatible with HOT!
-SOFT will never be compatible with HARD!
-SIN will never be compatible with RIGHTEOUSNESS!
– LIGHT will never be compatible with DARK!

THE SOURCE OF LIGHT

Fact:

“EVEN AS THE SUN IS THE SOLE SOURCE OF LIGHT IN THE NATURAL WORLD,
SO TOO THE HOLY BIBLE IS THE SOLE SOURCE OF LIGHT IN THE SPIRITUAL WORLD. ”

Back to Psalm 119:130,

“The entrance of THY WORD giveth LIGHT.”

To repeat this powerful truth:

“The ENTRANCE of GOD’S WORD gives LIGHT;
The EXIT of GOD’S WORD gives DARKNESS.”

Psalm 119:105 says the very same truth,

“Thy WORD is a LAMP unto my feet, and a LIGHT unto my PATH. ”

Without GOD’S WORD, our feet in this world are LAMPLESS, and our path in this world is LIGHTLESS.

In other words, without GOD’S WORD, our feet walk aimlessly, and the path we take is pointless.

Or as I have had to on occasion finally and reluctantly admit to my wife in our travels:

“I THINK WE’RE LOST.”

And that lostness was because I would 👎 not listen to her WORDS in the first place. Do you realize how hard it is for a man to say to his woman, “You were right, and I was wrong.”

And so we read in Proverbs 14:12,

“There is a way which seemed right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ”

Sounds like the WORD of GOD is the sole:

“CLAP 👏 ON – CLAP 👏 OFF LIGHT of the world. ”

Fact:

“Now you SEE, now you DON’T.”

This means profoundly and yet very simply the following:

“Everywhere GOD’S WORD goes, things LIGHT UP, but every place from which the WORD of GOD is removed, things go DARK.”

ILLUSTRATION

Most people today, especially our “wise educators,” cannot make the “LIGHT ON – LIGHT OFF” connection with the WORD of GOD.

They cannot see that dating from the time when prayer and Bible reading were ejected from America’s classrooms:

“AMERICA’S CLASSROOMS BEGAN TO MORPH INTO SEX, BOOZE, DRUG AND WAR ZONES.”

America’s school children are being taught that they are in fact advanced species of animals that have evolved from some primitive form of life over millions of years.

The more society as a whole thinks that way, the more people will act consistently with what they have been 👄 taught.

If life is no 👎 more special than animal levels, and we shoot animals, then life really had no special value.

If there is no God, and therefore no absolute authority, then anyone can decide right and wrong for themselves. It is better known as MORAL RELATIVITY.

So then, when you mix the deadly theory of evolution with the total absence of any spiritual reference; and an outright ANTI-GOD attitude in the schools:

“You then start to concoct a witch’s brew of hopelessness and life devoid of any purpose.”

LIGHTS OUT!
