REDEEMED FAILURES
You may have abandoned Jesus as all sinners have at one time or another. You may not have called on Him in prayer as all of us at one time or another didn’t either. You may not have trusted Him which has been true of all of us. You may have failed to talk to your neighbor about Christ, because the other times when you have spoken up, you felt like a failure. You are not original in any of this.
It is really strange when you think about it. If you were making a living and you had a bad day, you would still make a living in the same way and try harder the next day. Wouldn’t you? Sure you would! You would not quit. But in everything spiritual, we tend to abandon it when we fail.
Jesus Christ has some powerfully encouraging good news for us. He is the God of the second and even the third and the fourth chances!
Luke 5:4-6,
“And when Jesus had finished speaking, he said to Simon,‘Put out into
the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.’”
“And Simon answered and said, ‘Master, we have work hard all night
and caught nothing, but at Your bidding,I will let down the nets.’”
“And when they had done this, they enclosed a great quantity of fish;
and their nets began to break….”
“REMEMBER THIS – NO MAN IS A FAILURE UNTIL HE FAILS INSIDE. BUT
THE CHRIST IN US AND WITH US HAS NEVER FAILED.”
