Writes journalist Jodi Swan, “At a press conference on Thursday (August 14, 2013), Obama took a break from the golf course to make a statement on the situation in Iraq, as well as the chaos going on in Ferguson, Missouri. As usual, he sided with the black community, going so far as to say that the violent rioters must be allowed to exercise their Constitutional right to protest.

Obama chastised the efforts of St. Louis law enforcement, saying, “Police have clashed with people protesting.” Obviously, when people are becoming violent and start destroying property, it is law enforcement’s job to step in. But Obama sees things differently.

We all know that there has been nothing peaceful about these riots. People have been arrested and businesses have been decimated by violent looters, but Obama wants to make sure that the rights of black people to re-enact Planet of the Apes are not infringed.”

Writes journalist Awr Hawkins, “Against GOP objections, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced that the Obama Administration is sending $147 million in funding to the West Bank and Hamas-run Gaza.

Despite a ‘hold by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla.,’ the administration is arguing the money needs to be sent on humanitarian grounds. They did not, however, explain how they plan to force Hamas to use the money for humanitarian purposes.

And while ‘administrations generally do not disburse funding over the objections of lawmakers on relevant committees,’ those associated with Obama have proven more than willing to sidestep Congress to place American tax-dollars in the hands of their friends throughout the world. It was, after all, just last month that the administration circumvented Congress and gave $1.5 billion in aid to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Adds Pamela Geller, “Gaza gets billions of dollars already from the US, the UN, and the EU. It is the world’s biggest welfare case. Its markets are overflowing and visiting jihadists can stay in five-star hotels. It doesn’t need this money, and will probably use it to buy more rockets. This is just Obama showing once again which side he is on.”

Writes Daniel Greenfield, “ISIS, Hamas and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood have all driven out Christians in areas under the control of their Jihadists. Hamas’ attacks on Israel are motivated by that same xenophobic impulse. Hamas is doing to Gaza what ISIS is doing to Mosul, slowly transforming it into a terrorist slum at war with the rest of the world.

ISIS is a cousin of Hamas. Both organizations are outgrowths of the Muslim Brotherhood. Its current leader came out of the Muslim Brotherhood and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the man originally behind Al Qaeda in Iraq, was released from a Jordanian prison to win favor with the local Muslim Brotherhood.

The ultimate goal of Hamas is envisioned in ARTICLE SEVEN OF ITS CHARTER which looks forward to the genocide of the Jews when ‘The Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!’ The real genocide in Gaza and throughout the Middle East is being committed by Muslims against non-Muslims with the complicity of Western media and governments.”

(Al Qaeda, Hamas, Isis, and the Muslim Brotherhood are all from the same bolt of anti-Jew, anti-Christian blood-soaked cloth. To support one is to support them all. Islamic Terrorists are many heads on the same body, and to feed one head is to feed the entire vicious organism. Hear it:

What do we say to all of this at the outset? First of all, you will not hear any of this on ABC, CBS, NBC, or CNN. Second, you will not hear any of this from the White House or the Democrats. Third, you will not hear any of this from the scared pulpits of America. Fourth, you will hear it here. Fifth, and above it all, you will this day hear the prophet Habakkuk cry out in Habakkuk 2:12,

“WOE for him who builds a city with blood, and founds

a town with violence.”

The WOE OF GOD prophesies the fall of Hamas, Isis, Muslim Brotherhood and the entire bloodthirsty Muslim Religion. The WOE OF GOD assures us that they all shall be only blasts of winds, violent but short, and that they all shall breathe and then expire in their own violence multiplied by God many times over. THE WOE OF THE LORD SEALS THE DOOM OF THESE BLOOD SHEDDERS WHO SEEK TO BUILD THEIR KINGDOM WITH THE BLOOD OF JEWS AND CHRISTIANS. (That is for those who think it is anybody’s ball game right up to the end.)

I. BLOODY AND DECEITFUL MEN

The world today is crawling with them. Blood-shedders are always liars and deceivers. Bloodiness and deceitfulness always go together. So it is that in Psalm 55:23 we find the bloody and deceitful joined together,

“But Thou, O God, wilt bring them down in the pit of

destruction; men of BLOODSHED AND DECEIT

will not live out half their days, but I will

trust in Thee.”

Blood-letting always has the sin of deception as its forerunner companion! The Psalmist is not using disconnected or happenstance terms. They are married to each other like Bonnie and Clyde.

How easily we recall BLOODY HEROD who murdered John the Baptist, and him also being called by our Lord a FOX. We hear the words of Jesus Christ in Luke 13:32,

“And He said to them, ‘Go and tell that FOX, ‘Behold, I cast

out demons and perform cures today, and tomorrow,

and the third day I reach my goal.”

Hear it:

“A FOX IS KNOWN BOTH FOR ITS SUCKING OF

BLOOD AND ITS CRAFTINESS.”

The fact is, if we look into history, as in the glaring case of Adolph Hitler, we will find always that those who are hideously cruel were first of all known for their smooth deception. Why is that?

Simply because:

“MEN AND NATIONS MUST FIRST BE DECEIVED INTO

LETTING DOWN THEIR GUARDS AND DEFENSES

BEFORE THEY CAN BE STEATHFULLY EXPOSED

TO VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED.”

Of course, that should not surprise us, for all murderers and liars are like their father Satan, right? We read of the Devil in the well-known words of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 8:44,

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the

desires of your father. He was a MURDERER from the

beginning and DOES NOT STAND IN THE TRUTH,

because there IS NOT TRUTH IN HIM. Whenever

he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature;

for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

What follows here quickly is a TRUE-TO-LIFE STORY OF THE BLOODSHED AND DECEIT IN SOCIETY’S MAFIA UNDERWORLD. The mafia is a microcosm of fallen man and the depths to which bloodshed and deception will take him.

The second installment of Francis Ford Coppola’s Godfather trilogy of movies tells two stories simultaneously. While viewers watch the moral demise of the mafia don Michael Corleone in the mid-1950s, they see intertwined with these flashbacks from the early twentieth century when Michael’s father, the original Godfather Vito Corleone, steadily rose from a penniless Italian immigrant to a powerful, respected, and feared figure. The key moment when young Vito’s life turned the corner from poverty to (ill-gotten) riches is curious.

Vito and two friends had begun to do well for themselves–so well, in fact, as to attract the attention of the local mafia boss, Don Fanucci, who was known as “The Black Hand.” Don Fanucci approaches Vito and says, “I hear you and your two friends were recently involved in some shenanigans which netted you $600 each.” The don then demands some protection money, telling Vito that he needs to wet his beak a bit to the tune of $200 from each of the three men. The subtext of this “request” was clear: “Pay up or else!”

Upon hearing of this development, Vito’s friends immediately and fearfully decide to pay up. But Vito has a different idea. He tells his two friends to pay him $50 each. Vito, in turn, will give the don this money plus his own $50 and Vito will do it in such a way that Fanucci will accept the $150 instead of the $600 he had initially demanded. When his friends ask Vito how he’s going to pull this off, Vito tells them “Never mind that, but just remember I did you a favor once.” Vito then tells his friends that they are to go to Fanucci the next day, tell him that they respect him and that through Vito they will pay the don whatever he wants.

The next day both men go and tell the don just that. Later Vito meets privately with Don Fanucci but pays him only the $100 he had collected from his two friends. When the don demands to know where the other $500 is, Vito smirks and says he needs some time seeing as he was rather short of money at the moment.

Don Fanucci then comes to believe that Vito has shaken down his own two friends. Based on what the two other men had told Fanucci earlier, the old don assumes Vito had already received $200 from each friend but is now pocketing most of it even as he courageously winks at the don, who becomes an insider to Vito’s little fake scheme.

Surprisingly, the Black Hand turns velvet. He smiles approvingly, openly admiring Vito’s courage. “You’ve done well for yourself,” he says. He then accepts the $100 as sufficient, offers to let Vito work for him, and even adds that if he can do anything for Vito, to let him know! Fanucci respected Vito as a fellow wheeler-and-dealer, a fellow sneak and cheat who knew how to work other people to his own advantage.

Of course, Vito will soon shoot Don Fanucci through the mouth and take over his territory.

What follows in the entirety of this revelation is the true story of BLOODSHED AND DECEPTIOIN IN THE UNDER-WORLD OF GOVERNEMNT.  It goes on every day in the White House and in the Congress.

Hear it:

“BLOODSHED AND PRETENSE ARE BROTHER AND

SISTER. THEY WILL CUT THROATS

WHILE THEY EVEN PRETEND TO

BE CHRISTIANS.”

But then we already know that, or do we? Pretense and bloodshed are the oldest team in the world:

FISH BEGUILED WITH BAIT, BEFORE THEY

Barack Hussein Obama is Satan’s SHOW-AND-TELL of the art of dissimulation and death. The two great things that destroy the peace and promise of a nation and the world are FRAUD AND FORCE (LIES AND EXECUTIVE ORDERS).

Obama, from his very first and totally unexpected appearance on the American scene, was a sly and slippery masquerader from the get go. He lied like the devil when he told the nation and the world that he was a CHRISTIAN. *(See Footnote #1)

Barack Obama isn’t now and never was a Christian, any more than Satan is the HOLY SPIRIT. Obama is a rank MUSLIM who sides with and supports illegally and traitorously the TERRORISTS MANIACS OF THE MUSLIM WORLD. He is taking American’s money and arming those whose sole purpose is to destroy ISRAEL AND AMERICA, as well as all JEWS AND CHRISTIANS. The United States Government under Obama gives the Palestinians $600 million every year, $225 million of which is funneled directly to the Palestinian Authority in direct violation of U.S. law. In short:

The great comfort that true Americans have is found in the words of Psalm 55:23,

“MEN OF BLOODSHED AND DECEIT SHALL NOT LIVE

HALF OF THEIR DAYS.”

Mark it down! It’s settled in Heaven! BLOODSHED AND DECEPTION SHALL NOT GO UNPUNISHED, though it is the greatest HEROD, HITLER, and HUSSEIN who sheds it, and the smallest ABORTED INFANT WHO LOSES IT.

God thunders in Deuteronomy 32:34-35,

“Is it not laid up in store with Me, sealed up in My

Treasuries?” “Vengeance is Mine, and retribution.

In due time their foot will slip; for the day of

their calamity is near, and the impending

things are hastening upon them.”

And remember the Word of the Lord through the prophet Samuel to bloody King Agag, king of Amalek, as we read in I Samuel 15:33,

“But Samuel said, ‘As your sword has made women

childless, so shall your mother be childless among

women.’ And Samuel hewed Agag to pieces

before the Lord at Gilgal.”

II. GOD’S WOE TO BLOODY BUILDERS

At the outset, it is significant to note that as soon as CAIN SHED THE BLOOD OF HIS BROTHER ABEL, HE SET HIMSELF TO THE BUILDING OF A CITY. From that moment on, BLOODINESS IS SO OFTEN CONNECTED WITH BUILDING EMPIRES AND GOVERNMENTS based and bathed in blood. Such has been the crimson flow of history since the fall of Adam and Eve, and the murder of their son by their son. HISTORY EVER SINCE HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN BLOOD.

We read these chilling words in Habakkuk 2:12,

“WOE for him who builds a city with bloodshed, and founds

a town with violence.”

And again the words of Ezekiel 24:6,

“Therefore thus says the Lord God, ‘Woe to the

bloody city….”

In this instance, the DIVINE WOE is declared against a MAN who builds a city with bloodshed. In the second, the entire city that he built is called a BLOODY CITY, for it was soaked in the blood of conquered nations and peoples. In short:

“THE BLOODY MAN AND THE BLOODY CITY ARE IN THE

EYES OF GOD ONE IN THE SAME.”

The MAN being written about is none other than KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR, and the CITY being written about is none other than BABYLON. So it is that we read about King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:29-30, as he was walking on the roof of his palace and saying to himself,

“Is this not Babylon the great, which I built as my royal

residence by the might of my power and for the

glory of my majesty?”

AN EXACT ANALOGY

Islam is built upon and soaked in blood. So was the Babylonian empire of King Nebuchadnezzar. We read of it in Habakkuk 1:6,7,14 which is an exact description of the Islamic religion which is based upon KILLING ALL NON-MUSLIMS – INFIDELS. We read this description which eerily fits both:

“That fierce and impetuous people, who march throughout

the earth, to seize dwelling places that are not theirs.“

“They are dreaded and feared, their justice and authority

originate with themselves.“

“All of them come for violence, their hordes of faces move

forward, they collect captives like sand.”

Dear Lord, is Habakkuk talking here about the Babylonian Empire, or is he talking about the Islamic State? For Barack Obama, a Muslim, to be President of the United States is the same as Satan being the president of Heaven, and Nebuchadnezzr being the High Priest of Jerusalem. It is unthinkable and inconceivable, but it has happened because America has turned against God and His Son Jesus Christ. And even as God sent Nebuchadnezzar as a punishment against Judah, so God has sent Obama as a punishment upon America. We read in Habakkuk 1:5-6 where God says,

“Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder!

Because I am  doing something in your days – you would

not believe if you were told.”

“For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans

(Babylonians)….”

Then Habakkuk 2:12,

“Woe to him (King Neb) who builds a city with bloodshed,

and founds a town with violence.”

That MAN and that CITY were both soaked in the blood of ravaged peoples and nations, not the least of them God’s people the Jews. The prophets here are pronouncing GOD’S WOE OF JUDGMENT upon MURDEROUS POTENTATES. If you will:

“HE THAT DELIGHTS TO SWIM IN THE BLOOD OF

OTHERS SHALL AT LENGTH DROWN

IN IT HIMSELF.”

Hear it:

“GOD COMMANDS A FATAL CIRCULATION OF BLOOD IN

THE ARTERIES OF HISTORY BY WHICH SHED BLOOD

ALWAYS RETURNS AND FLOWS OVER THE

SHEDDERS OF IT.”

A most ancient example of this is CYRUS THE PERSIAN POTENTATE who, by a particularly revealing death, had his head cut off and thrown into a tub of blood.

Modernity presents to us SADDAM HUSSEIN THE IRAQI DICTATOR who murdered masses of his own people, and who in the end had HIS NECKED STRETCHED by those same people.

And often, for a savage, bloody, unjust ruler, the only cure is the REBELLION OF THE PEOPLE. HOSNI MUBARAK ruled Egypt for almost 30 years until he was swept from power in a wave of mass protests in February 2011.

And as for King Nebuchadnezzar, the DIVINE WOE came with a vengeance, as it made its way into the very heart of Babylon, climbed its high walls, and broke through its brass gates. Then the TYRANT was driven from his throne and all of his imperial glories. He was finally herded with the beasts of the fields by literally being turned into one.

Hear it:

“GOD HAS HIS WOEFUL WAYS OF TURNING THRONES

INTO THORN BUSHES, AND ROYALTY INTO MISERY.”

III. INDIFFERENCE TO THE BLOOD SHEDDING OF THE INNOCENT

Bloody and sly monsters by nature always grow into a calloused indifference to lying, savagery and blood sucking. In short:

“THEY BECOME HARDENED BLOODSUCKERS.”

Hear it:

“MEN AND WOMEN WHOSE TONGUE IS FORKED WILL

ALWAYS HAVE HEARTS OF STONE AND

BOWELS OF BRASS.”

They really do not know how to PITY OR RELENT, and are incapable of COMPASSION. As we recall Hillary Clinton’s remark about the death of four Americans in Benghazi, “What difference does it make?”

Writes Allen West, “President Obama had the chance to define a clear and present evil in our time. ISIS represents the Nazis of this century. There is no clearer portrayal of 7th century barbarism than this movement which we have allowed to gain strength, momentum and victory. Its blitz across Syria and Iraq can easily be compared to that of the 20th century blitzkrieg of Hitler. And the savagery being inflicted is beyond belief. Consider the marking of Christian homes — history does repeat itself.

In the interview with CNN’s Jonathan Mann, Chaldean-American businessman Mark Arabo said that the ‘world hasn’t seen an evil like this for generations. There is a park in Mosul, where [ISIS] they actually beheaded children and put their heads on a stick and have them in the park,’ he explained. More children are getting beheaded, mothers are getting raped and killed, and fathers are being hung.

Last night Obama could have made the case for that evil – but he did not. We hear that compassion means allowing illegals to invade America. **(See footnote #2) We condemn Israel for defending itself against a declared Islamic terrorist organization that exists to destroy it — and will dig tunnels under Israeli kindergartens to do it. In ISIS we have the embodiment of evil and we have a tongued-tied President Obama who just will not say it is so.

All the president needed to say was this, ‘I must apologize for allowing this evil to be born and grow. I ran as a president who wanted to end wars. I now realize my campaign promises and personal desires are not of any consideration, because the enemy also has a vote.

The Islamic State represents the most reprehensible evil the world has seen since that of Nazi Germany — and the world did nothing then. I shall not allow this on my watch. America will lead and we shall destroy this 7th century barbarism. Tonight, I am committing American military power to kill ISIS, wherever it is. If America sees the black flag we shall kill those who raise it.

First however, we will rescue the Yazidi and Christians trapped in the Sinjar mountains — and we shall kill any ISIS forces impeding that objective. Then in concert with our Kurdish allies, we will begin a committed offensive operation to ensure that Islamic totalitarianism and jihadism is defeated. God bless liberty and freedom. God bless America….and God curse ISIS.’”

No such words! No such action! Never! Obama would be attacking his own Muslim roots, the same roots that made Obama drop the exactly right descriptive “TERRORISTS” from the 9/11 murderous Muslims.

Writes Oliver Burkeman, “The war on terror,” George Bush once declared, “will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.” But Barack Obama’s administration, it appears, has ended it rather more discreetly – via email.

A message sent recently to senior Pentagon staff explains that ‘this administration prefers to avoid using the term Long War or Global War On Terror (Gwot) … please pass this on to your speechwriters.’

Instead, they have been asked to use a bureaucratic phrase that could hardly be further from the fiery rhetoric of the months immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The global war on terror is dead; long live “OVERSEAS CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS.”

If that isn’t DECEPTION, then the devil himself is a truth speaker. To drop the descriptive WAR ON ISLAMIC TERRORISTS and call it some asinine name like OVERSEAS CONTINGENCIES PLANS in itself is PERJURY, which is an impeachable offense. It has become this government’s policy that while the sun is shining, to deny that it is day. Obama cannot allow his fellow MUSLIMS to be called TERRORISTS, so he tries to hide them in a verbal smokescreen, even as he tried to hide the fact that he is a Muslim behind the smokescreen of being a Christian.

There is a powerful Scripture containing an equally powerful principle that we must fully hear at this critical point in the history of the United States of America. It is found in James 4:17 which says,

“Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do,

and does it not, to him it is sin.”

Let that sink in, along with Proverbs 3:27,

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when

it is in your power to do it.”

There is no way around it! Listen:

“HE WHO HAS THE POWER TO STOP THE SHEDDING OF

INNOCENT BLOOD AND DOES NOT, IS IN TRUTH A

CO-SHEDDER OF INNOCENT BLOOD.”

And again:

“HE WHO HAS THE POWER TO STOP TERRORISTS AND

MURDERERS AND DOES IT NOT, IS HIMSELF A

CO-TERRORIST AND A CO-MURDERER.”

Why is that? Clearly because, and here the Biblical principle hits home like a sledge hammer:

“BOTH THE MURDERER AND THE CO-MURDERER, THE

TERRORIST AND THE CO-TERRORIST, HAVE THE

SAME GUILT, AND SHALL BE EQUALLY

JUDGED BY GOD.”

Barack Obama has the greatest power in the world to stop HAMAS IN GAZA from murdering innocent Israelites, but he is not doing it. Barack Obama has the greatest power in the world to stop ISIS IN IRAQ from murdering innocent Christians, but he is not doing it.

IV. GOD THE JUDGE OF WICKED KINGS AND RULERS

But there is an equally powerful principle in the Bible recorded for us in Isaiah 40:23,

“God it is Who reduces rulers to nothing, and Who makes

the judges of the earth meaningless.”

And again, Job 12:21,

“God poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the

strength of the mighty.”

It is powerfully clear in the Word of God:

“THAT WHILE GOD PUNISHES CRIMINALS THROUGH

HUMAN JUDGES, GOD OFTEN TAKES THE

PUNISHMENT OF CRIMINAL RULERS

INTO HIS OWN HANDS.”

And let us be assured of this:

“GOD HAS ENOUGH WOES IN THE HIGH COURTS OF

HEAVEN TO JUDGE THE HIGHEST,

PROUDEST, AND THE MOST

WICKED TYRANTS.”

It is a must for God’s people in this critical and treacherous hour to know that God takes peculiar and singular interest to surprise and seize upon wicked rulers in the height of their PRIDE AND PRESUMED SECURITY. Listen:

“GOD PERSONALLY COMMISSIONS HIS CURSE TO

ARREST A BLOODY AHAB, AND DASHES OUT THE

BRAINS OF A MURDEROUS ABIMELECH AT

THE VERY HEAD OF HIS ARMY.”

These are just some of the triumphs of Divine judgment, and the trophies of blood-revenging Divine justice. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

CONCLUSION

When facing these most distressing events of the PRESENT, and the uncertainties of the FUTURE, many people will say that since there is nothing we can do about it anyway, the best we can do is TO GRIT OUR TEETH, press forward, and hope for the best. And if the worst happens and some apocalypse comes, then that’s just the way it has to be. It’s all rather random anyway and so, in the meanwhile, we’ll live life while we have it and let the chips fall where they may.

Of course, many people are perhaps not aware of the FATALISM that colors their perceptions of the present and the future. It reminds me of the man who once declared, “I am not a fatalist! And even if I were, what could I do about it!?”

CHRISTIANS, of course, should not be FATALISTS but OPTIMISTS. Why? In the end Jesus is not interested in telling us precisely what the future holds but rather WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE. And when you know Who holds the future, then you know Who holds your every moment in this present time as well. It is that confidence that allows us to rest easy when Jesus tells us that He will be with us and will even provide us with words to say if and when the WORLD and the GOVERNMENT presses in on us and persecutes us for His sake.

Come what may, we rest in the quiet confidence of Psalm 31:14-16,

“But as for me, I trust in Thee, O Lord, I say,

‘Thou art my God.’”

“My times are in Thy hand; deliver me from the hand

of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.”

“Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; save me

in Thy lovingkindness.” Amen!

Many religious people believed, and still do today, that Obama is a Christian because of what he said to Rick Warren on national television. Even pastors bought into the con-artist and the con-job that night. Many in the modern church got Obama elected, along with fraud at the polls.

Across the year 2008 Rev. Ed Dobson (former associate of the late Jerry Falwell and former pastor of the large Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan) decided he was going to “live like Jesus.” Among the things Rev. Dobson did that year was read through all four gospels over and over and over again on a regular basis. He also did his best to live out Jesus’ words and principles in as literal and careful a way as he could as he tried to let the gospel shape his life in ways more intentional than is probably true for even the more devout among us.

He knew going in that this could create problems for him but even after counting the cost, he wanted to do this. But 2008 was also an election year in the United States—indeed, it was one of the most hotly contested elections in a long while. And through much prayer and discernment, as he stated, Dobson felt led as a follower of Jesus to vote—on that particular occasion at least—for the Democrat candidate, Barack Obama.

As news of this choice spread, the man who tried for a year to live like Jesus received some Jesus-level persecution and criticism from his right-leaning Christian friends, colleagues, and former parishioners.

The fact was that Ed Dobson and many like him in the church had the spiritual and moral discernment of a rock. They were completely taken in by a lie, which falsehood has been and is being exposed from day one. America has a Muslim and a Marxist in the White House whose number one goal is to destroy Colonialism, Capitalism, and Christianity in America. In other words, destroy America and turn it into Muslim and Marxist state. And hear it strong:

“OBAMA IS NOT TEACHING AMERICA TO LIVE LIKE

JESUS, BUT IS TEACHING AMERICA

TO LIVE LIKE THE DEVIL.”

In her gripping book, Enrique’s Journey, journalist Sonia Nazario paints vignette after vignette of the abject poverty that exists just south of the U.S. border in lands like Mexico and Honduras. The poverty in these countries is staggering as is the extremes of behavior to which that impoverished state drives people. In Luke 16 we are told that the poor man Lazarus pined for mere crumbs from the master’s table or sweepings from his kitchen floor. What we sometimes forget is that such longing, such pining for food—ANY food—is no exaggeration or caricature.

In one particularly sobering part of her book, Nazario talks about how the children of Honduras are frequently reduced to scavenging for food in city landfills and garbage heaps. Here is how she described it: “[Children] as young as six and seven . . . have to root through the waste in order to eat. Truck after truck rumbles onto the hilltop. Dozens of adults and children fight for position. Each truck dumps its load. Feverishly, the scavengers reach up into the sliding ooze to pluck out bits of plastic, wood, and tin. The trash squishes beneath their feet, moistened by loads from hospitals, full of blood and placentas. Occasionally a child, with hands blackened by garbage, picks up a piece of stale bread and eats it. As the youngsters sort through the stinking stew, black buzzards soar in a dark, swirling cloud and defecate on the people below.” (Enrique’s Journey, Random House 2007, p. 26).

This heartrending scenario is real every day and is repeated in countries throughout the world. It is a human and moral tragedy, and nations such as America along with churches and humanitarian groups must make it priority #1 to help the starving and dying children of the world on an ongoing basis.

But this does not mean, nor should it ever be, that the borders of America be removed by Barack Obama to let anyone and everyone come into this nation willy nilly. Obama, whose chief responsibility is to protect America and Americans from invading forces, is opening up the nation to deadly anti-American terrorists. He is ignoring his main obligation, violating all United States’ laws of immigration, and should be impeached yesterday for massive violation of the oath of office.
