Demon Grows Angel Wings
Our missionary friends share this story with us from the mission fields of India. The missionary/pastor led a would-be magician to Jesus Christ. This ex-would-be magician now a Christian witnessed to the Master Magician (MM) about Jesus Christ. The MM is now a seeker after God and reader of the Bible.
The MM sends all the people that come to him seeking his spiritual help to the ex-would-be magician who is now a Christian missionary/pastor. The MM’s main problem is that he is a Brahmin (highest caste), and if he decides to follow Christ, he will lose his status and probably have to submit himself to the low-caste mentors. This is a BIG problem for him.
MM no longer worships his gods because the converted to Christ ex-would-be magician has bound and paralyzed them all in the name of Jesus. To some this may sound goofy, but the MM himself admits that it is true. He is no longer able to receive help from the demons that used to be at his beck and call. And most of the MM’s followers as well have also realized that the demons have abandoned him.
The missionary/pastor relates that he just said a simple prayer and bound the demons. One of the demons actually appeared to him and said, “You have bound me thinking that I am a demon. I am actually an angel.” The demon then right in front of the missionary/pastor grew wings, appeared like an angel and pleaded with him to release him.
The spiritual warfare on the mission battlefields of the world is real! Some Christians in the United States find it hard to believe in demon possession. But on the mission battle fields of the world demons are interfacing with people.
The situation that MM finds himself in is also very real. He has seen the futility of his pursuits and the powerlessness of his demons. Yet his pride does not allow him to come to Jesus. Please pray for him to fully turn to the Lord and experience His love. There are many others like him in his area who will be mightily impacted when he fully submits to Christ. Our Lord is the great King above all gods! He delights in showing Himself strong to those who love Him. One day every knee will bow. May the MM’s knee bow in this life to God’s glory and for the spread of God’s kingdom.
