Miracles in India

INDIAN PASTOR
I have started an early morning daily Bible Study at the house of a man who used to be a drug addict and a gang robber. He as converted recently by a Gospel tract he received from me. One day when I was teaching God’s Word, a stranger walked in and started to tell me about his relative named Sam who had had a strange dream. In the dream Sam was asked to go to a certain village 10 miles away – even the name of the village had been mentioned in the dream – to look for a man who could tell him about the real God. The stranger who brought me this news told me that Sam was looking for me.

The following day I went to visit Sam. Although it was raining, I rode my bike to see this man who does indeed live 10 miles away. Upon reaching his house, I learned that the whole family (four brothers and their families living together under one roof) belonged to a certain Hindu cult. They worship their guru (Master) with much reverence and try to live a clean life.

I spent three hours with them and shared the whole Gospel. They listened very attentively to everything I said. In the end they knelt down and prayed with me, giving their lives to Jesus. Then and there we decided to have a weekly Bible Teaching class. Please pray that these people will grow in the Lord and become effective testimonies among their relatives and friends. Hallelujah to the Risen Christ.

WOMEN OF PRAYER
The women in one church decided to pray more than they used to, so now they are meeting for pray frequently. They have a target: praying to spiritually immobilize the Hindu priests and soothsayers where they live. Their area is known for some very powerful soothsayers who attract large crowds. Typically such as person would stand on the edge of a knife and would prophesy and demand large gifts from those who came to seek his guidance. The people are literally robbed by these soothsayers.

The women at the church prayed that these men’s influence would decrease. This year one of the most famous ones lost 90% of his crowd. Another of them fell down and injured his leg so badly that he is unable to do his usual performance.

The women prayed for the most famous Hindu festivals celebrated around here to lose their impact. This year it rained so hard during the festival time – unusual – that all of their major processions and service were cancelled. (God bless the prayer warriors) Hallelujah to the Risen Christ!

“THE LOST” USED MIGHTILY
The film “The Lost” was shown in a nearby village. More than 100 people gathered. At the end, the Gospel was shared. As the altar call went out, a young man came forward to say that he was in the same condition as the lost son in the story. He asked the pastor whether Jesus would forgive him. The pastor shared the love of Jesus with him, and now the young man attends church regularly. Also as a result of this film showing, many new people have started attending the church regularly in that village. Hallelujah to the Risen Christ!
