This teaching is for parents with college and university bound children who shall soon be or already are immersed in secular and even nominally religious think-tanks in America, and who will be exposed and subjected to some of the most powerful and yet sometimes subtle anti-God and anti-Christ and anti-truth atmospheres in the world. The words of II Timothy 3:7 apply,

“always learning and never able to come to the

knowledge of the truth.”

It is now estimated, states American Family Radio, that 79% of evangelical students who call themselves Christians lose their faith when they attend secular universities and colleges. Gulp! Staggering! That is up from an also recent but older estimate by Josh McDowell who states that 75% of college students lose their faith in the secular institutions of higher learning in America. This comes very close to home, as we have seen this awful thing in our own extended family.

Statistics tend to conceal more than they reveal, in that statistics tend to be impersonal even though they are talking about real people, and in this case, real students. However, they are super-real to those of us who have seen our own grandchildren from godly homes wander away into godlessness and worldliness while in secular education institutions.

In other words, so-called higher learning today plunges students into low spirituality and morality, as such staggering statistics are not coincidental. That is how it shakes down on the American campuses. It is shocking as are so many things today, and we can either take a close look at what is happening and why, or simply  dismiss it callously and say that the professor hauled another load away.

Help:

“WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE PUT UP A STOP SIGN  AT THIS MOST LETHAL

ACADEMIC INTERSECTION, SO THAT WE MUST STOP TO LOOK AND

UNDERSTAND THIS STUDENT CARNAGE THAT IS TAKING

PLACE ON AMERICA’S CAMPUSES.”

It is way past time for us to realize that this is not only true of secular colleges and universities, but it is just as lethal if not deadly on secular high school campuses as well. In fact, students in secular education from top to bottom are often schooled by teachers who take the miracles of Christ to be myths, and who believe that at best Jesus Christ was a great teacher, and that the ten commandments are outdated legalism.

In primary, secondary, and college/universities of America, our children are and will be confronted by teachers who smile indulgently if not sneeringly at those kids who are so naïve as to suppose the Bible to be truth, Christ risen, and His miracles actual history. They look upon these cardinal truths of the Christian faith the same way they look upon Little Red Riding Hood, for they have been educated in the very schools and colleges that we are talking about.

Listen:

“BY THE TIME MANY SONS AND DAUGHTERS GRADUATE FROM THE

SYSTEM, WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN TAUGHT ABOUT GOD

WILL IN FACT KEEP THEM FROM GOD.”

And:

“THEY MAY HAVE SOME MORAL ABSOLUTES IN THEIR HEADS,

BUT THE AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM WILL TRY

VERY HARD TO GRADUATE THEM AS

TOTAL MORAL RELATIVISTS.”

THE WHO AND THE WHAT OF EDUCATION

To begin with, we must return to II Timothy 3:7 again,

“…ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge

of the truth.”

At the least this statement by the Apostle Paul to Timothy appears very weird. I mean, how can someone always be learning and yet remain dumber than a rock throughout the entire educational process?

The answer to that seeming contradiction is explained by the fact that TRUTH is not a WHAT but a WHO! Shazaam! Jesus Christ claimed something colossal, revolutionary, and mind-blowing about Himself in John 4:6 when He declared that He is the TRUTH. So that if you want to have the knowledge of the truth – true knowledge – you have to know Jesus the author and source of all true knowledge. He is all true-knowledge’s point of reference, otherwise your head is filled with a disjointed and detached bunch of stupidity. In other words, apart from Jesus we know nothing as we ought to know!

The Apostle Paul in II Timothy 1:12 did not say I KNOW WHAT I HAVE BELIEVED, but rather said I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED. In education you can never really know WHAT’S What until you first of all know WHO’S WHO.

We are living in a era in which the U.S. education system is dumbing down. In the state of Tennessee, more than 80% of all high school graduates who enter state universities and colleges have to take remedial courses on reading, writing, and math.

You will find that the top 50 colleges and universities – both public and private – have all but eliminated math from being a required course. It used to be 82% required math, but now it is about 12%. This is due to the NEA’s screwed up philosophy of education which is another study.

But the real DUMBING DOWN of American schools, colleges, and universities is not due to not knowing math, but not knowing HIM WHO IS THE CORE ESSENCE OF ALL TRUE KNOWLEDGE.”

Stated succinctly at the outset:

“IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT EVERY LEVEL, EDUCATORS ARE

FIRST OF ALL CONCERNED WITH THE WHO AND SECONDLY

WITH THE WHAT OF TRUE KNOWLEDGE.”

By way of stark contrast:

“IN SECULAR AND LIBERAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION, EDUCATORS

ARE FIRST OF ALL CONCERNED WITH THE WHAT AND

FRANKLY TO HECK WITH THE WHO OF KNOWLEDGE.”

In other words:

“CHRISTIAN EDUCATORS KEY ON THE WHO(GOD) FIRST, BECAUSE

APART FROM HIM ALL OF THE WHAT OF KNOWLEDGE

IS DISTORTED AND DEFORMED.”

While:

“SECULAR AND LIBERAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATORS KEY ON THE

WHAT OF KNOWLEDGE AND DISPARAGE THE WHO-(GOD)

KNOWLEDGE, WHICH IS WHY THEIR STUDENTS LIKE

THEM ARE EVER LEARNING AND NEVER REALLY

COMING TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH –

TRUE KNOWLEDGE.” II Timothy 3:7

It is most significant at this point to note that when President Ronald Reagan in the 1983 Moscow Summit crusaded for religious rights and freedom in the USSR, he more than hinted to Mikhail Gorbachev that to  persecute and drive Christians and Jews out of Russia would be tantamount to what he called:

“NATIONAL BRAIN DRAIN.”

Truer words were never spoken, with greater application than President Reagan realized. This was the same President Reagan who declared the same year in America as:

“THE YEAR OF THE BIBLE.”

Now it wouldn’t surprise me if the current president declared soon:

“THE YEAR OF THE KORAN.”

RELIGIOUS COLLEGES – COMPARATIVE RELIGION

If all of the aforesaid was the only treachery in education for our children today, but the truth be known, the best that God often gets today in many religious liberal arts colleges and historic denominationally rooted universities across the land is in courses called:

“COMPARATIVE RELIGION.”

Yes, you read correctly – Comparative Religion – which is only one small step from what is really being taught, which is:

“COMPARABLE RELIGION.”

Which often means that all religions are more similar than they are dissimilar.

But you will seldom if ever find is a course on:

“INCOMPARABLE CHRISTIANITY.”

Look more closely still, and you will bump your nose into the fact that in these religious institutions of higher learning, you will no longer find listed:

“DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION.”

No, no, they refer to it as:

“DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION.”

I am reminded of the story about Billy Graham when he spoke to a gathering of American Educators. Afterward, one educator made this statement to a reporter:

“I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT BILLY GRAHAM

DIDN’T TALK ABOUT THE OTHER RELIGIONS.”

But you see, the Holy Spirit did not come to educate us in the religions of the world. According to the words of Jesus in John 16:13,

“But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide

you into all truth….”

According to Jesus Himself in John 14:6, He Himself is TRUTH. Everything He is, everything He embodies, everything He teaches is TRUTH. The Apostle Paul, Saul of Tarsus, once had religion oozing out of every pore in his body, but he did not know TRUTH – JESUS. Saul of Tarsus would have been the expert DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION. But then he met Jesus on the Damascus Road, and from that day on we read what he felt about his religious expertise in Philippians 3:8,

“More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing

knowledge of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I suffered

the loss of all things, and count them rubbish in order that

I may gain Christ.”

If you will:

“CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION BUT A RELATIONSHIP ROOTED

IN THE GROWING KNOWLEDGE OF AND TOTAL

COMMITMENT TO JESUS CHRIST.”

The Holy Spirit did not come to Religionize us, but He did come to Christianize us. Big difference in job description.

In courses on Comparative Religion,

“STUDENTS END UP KNOWING MORE ABOUT THE WORLD’S RELIGIONS

THAN THEY DO ABOUT THE BIBLE, AND BEING MORE FAMILIAR

WITH RELIGIOUS RESEARCH THAN THEY ARE

WITH CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP.”

Hear me:

“WHEN A RELIGIOUS COLLEGE GOES IN THE DIRECTION OF RELIGIOUS

EDUCATION AND NOT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION, THAT COLLEGE

IS GOING ONE WAY AND THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOING

ANOTHER WAY – JESUS THE WAY, THE TRUTH

AND THE LIFE.”

And I remind us and assure us that true Christian Education and Religious/Secular Education today are going in totally different directions under totally different directors.

And:

“WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT THE GUIDE, IT IS THE BLIND

LEADING THE BLIND.”

THE DOMI OF EDUCATION – WHICH ONE?

Today, parents, teachers, and students no longer see the choice for what it really is:

“THE CHOICE BETWEEN CHRIST AND SATAN, AND THE CHOICE

BETWEEN TRUTH AND FALSEHOOD.”

For that is in fact what the choice is in every nation and in every educational system. Hear me:

“EVERY NATION AND EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM EITHER LIVES UNDER

THE DOMINION OF CHRIST OR UNDER THE DOMINION OF

SATAN, UNDER THE DOMINION OF TRUTH OR

UNDER THE DOMINION OF FALSEHOOD.”

“DOMI” is the root of “DOMINUS” which means “LORD.” So the ultimate question is:

“WHAT DOMI-NUS IS AMERICA UNDER?”

And again:

“WHICH DOMI-NUS IS THE SCHOOL OR COLLEGE OF YOUR SONS

AND DAUGHTERS UNDER?”

Huge questions and eternally significant answers. I once could say about America that she embraced:

“JESUS CHRISTUS DOMINUS EST – JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.”

I can say it no longer! Now the choice is vastly different in American education. The issue now as viewed by Comparative Religionists and No-Religionists is:

“MULTIPLE CHOICE RELIGIONS AND MULTIPLE CHOICE GODS

AND NO RELIGION OR GOD AT ALL.”

That is why in American government and education, when an invocation is allowed to be tacked on to the front or back of a meeting, “God’s Name” or “IN YOUR NAME” generically is quickly spoken and left unspecified. A GENERIC DOMI-NUS. And after all, it doesn’t matter what god you believe it to be  as long as you are sincere. And who is to say who is right? Aren’t we all trying to get to the same place? Just by different routes? Comparative Religion!

CHRISTIANITY OPTIONALIZED

Today in the United States when we pledge, “ONE NATION UNDER GOD,” if in fact we are allowed to say it at all, what does it now mean to the masses? Do they mean a god of crystal? Do they mean a god who is the projection of our imagination? Do they mean some cosmic force? Do they mean Allah? Do they mean whatever we make god to be? Or do they mean nothing at all? Most likely a combination of all of them! Multiple choice gods and comparative religions and no religion at all which is a religion – the belief in unbelief – is now the composite religion of America.

Understand this clearly:

“ANY INSTITUTION OF LOWER OR HIGHER LEARNING THAT PRESENTS

CHRISTIANITY AS BUT ONE OF MANY OPTIONS IS IN FACT

MAKING CHRISTIANITY AND JESUS CHRIST OPTIONAL.”

Whether or not we are willing to face what has happened, Biblical theology used to be a non-elective, i.e. a required course in Christian colleges. If you will:

“WHERE KING JESUS WAS ENTHRONED IN EDUCATION, QUEEN THEOLOGY

WOULD DOMINATE THE CURRICULUM.”

But now Queen Theology has been dequeened and has been squeezed into those religious college’s and university’s obituary column. Theology still hides in the curriculum of conservative colleges out of respect for the old guard, but at best it has been shelved there in the department of antiquities. Even the simple stories of the Carpenter from Nazareth have been so twisted into the big words and conundrums of half-believing scholars and professors of higher criticism. It is enough to even turn demons who believe into unbelievers.

And the results are devastating, as a staggering 79% of children of the faith, not children from unbelieving homes, but 79% of children from believing homes are having their faith legs knocked from under them. We as Christian parents of college students had better become very alarmed by this and begin immediately making some tough choices.

Hear this:

“EVEN AS THE FAITH OF OUR FATHERS FIRST MADE

THIS COUNTRY, SO THE FAITHLESSNESS OF OUR

CHILDREN WILL DESTROY THIS COUNTRY.”

American colleges, yes even denominational colleges, have sold their Christian birthright for a mess of comparative-religion pottage, and we must remember:

“IT IS NOT IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS EDUCATION THAT MAKES OR

BREAKS OUR CHILDREN, IT IS THEIR FAITH OR UNBELIEF

THAT MAKES OR BREAKS OUR CHILDREN.”

And the pressing question that we as parents must answer is this:

“WILL OUR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION LEAD THEM TO GOD

OR AWAY FROM GOD?”

THE INCOMPARABLE GOD

Now let’s look at the validity or invalidity of comparative religion courses. I want you to turn with me to Isaiah 40:18 where we read:

“To whom then will you LIKEN God? Or what LIKENESS

will you COMPARE Him with?

And again, Isaiah 40:25,

“To whom then will you LIKEN Me that I should be

his EQUAL,’ says the Holy One.”

How dare we stick this awesome UNLIKENABLE – INCOMPARABLE – UNEQUALABLE God in college courses about  COMPARATIVE-COMPARABLE GODS AND RELIGIONS? You talk about an insult of the worst order!  How would you enjoy being compared and likened and similarized to a stone or a stick? But that doesn’t even begin to capture the disparity between GOD AND OTHER GODS. To put God in a course on COMPARATIVE RELIGION is the worst act of demeaning and degrading against the God who cuts the bottom out of history’s bag of gods with the God to end all Gods. PERIOD.

But why the horrible offense? Simply because:

“THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS TOTALLY INCOMPARABLE AND

NON-COMPARATIVE.”

If you will:

“GOD IS COMPLETELY NON-ANALOGOUS – THAT IS – THERE IS NO

ANALOGY IN THE WORLD TO ILLUSTRATE OR DEMONSTRATE

GOD, FOR TO DO SO WOULD TURN GOD INTO SOME

JUNGLE BOOLAH-BOOLAH TRIBAL GOD

OF PAGANISM.”

For some time now, there have been those on TBN who talk about Christianity and Islam – and – Jahweh and Allah as similar and comparable and likenable. Have we lost our cotton-picking minds completely? It is not me but God Who asks the question:

“WHO OR WHAT GOD WILL YOU COMPARE ME

WITH OR LIKEN ME TO?”

And I can almost hear Him add:

“I DARE YOU!”

Obviously the questions of God are rhetorical, and the answers obvious – WE CAN COMPARE AND LIKEN GOD TO NOTHING AND NO ONE. That shoots courses on comparative religion in the head and in the foot.

The God of the Bible will not allow Himself to even be mentioned in the same breath with all or any of the world’s false gods and religions. The very fact that we are comparing Him to other gods elevates the false gods and demotes the true God. Father forgive them for they know not what they do! Did I ever tell you that you remind me of a skunk? The whole comparative religion thing stinks.

THE NO MULTIPLE-CHOICE GOD

God is not a multiple choice God! He is not a party-line god! He is not a smorgasbord god in a college course of pick-and-choose gods. He is not #18 or #68 among 150 possibilities, for God says to us about this multiple-choice gods baloney in Isaiah 43:11,

“I, even I, am the Lord; and there is no Savior BESIDES Me.”

Pretty well narrows the field doesn’t it!? And likewise we read about the NO MULTIPLE-CHOICE SAVIOR – JESUS CHRIST in Acts 4:12,

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no

other name under heaven that has been given

among men, by which we must be saved.”

In other words, Jesus Christ may not and must not be put on a list of MULTIPLE AND COMPARATIVE SAVIORS, or mentioned in the same breath, for He is:

“THE SINGULAR – EXCLUSIVE -INCOMPARABLE SAVIOR.”

Many, multiple, comparable, and comparative gods!? Over in this land called India there are many gods!? Different gods over here in America, and over there in Africa!? “No,” says God, “understand once and for all that all of these other gods aren’t real, but are fiction and fables. There is no god before Me, and there will no god after Me. So get over the comparative gods and religions trash.” Or as He states it more exactly in Isaiah 43:10,

“Before Me there was no god formed, and there will

be none after me.”

But you see, that is exactly what the modern professor in today’s secular/religious education does not want to be hemmed by – THE NO MULTIPLE-CHOICE GOD. He wants to keep his options open, so he makes the Bible’s God optional among many gods or no god at all. To pin him down in the classroom to the God of Christianity is like wrestling a wild monkey. I know for I have tried.

THE ‘I AM’ GOD

Let’s get real here about the unreal. God is telling us that those nothing gods, even if they were something gods, don’t bear even the slightest resemblance to nor do they have one slightest thing in common with the only God!

But He is telling us more! Comparative-religion courses and comparative-god courses are the biggest oxymoronic courses in the world. Why? Because of what God names Himself in Exodus 3:14,

“And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I Am;’ and He said, ‘Thus you

shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM hath sent me to you.”

God calling Himself “I AM,” means many things, the full meaning of which will have to wait for spiritual and heavenly perfected brains to comprehend. But ONE thing for sure is this:

“WHEN GOD TELLS US THAT HE IS THE ‘I AM,’ HE

IS ALSO TELLING US THAT OTHER GODS

ARE THE ‘ARE NOTS.’”

If you will, in bad grammar but it makes the point, He is saying about other gods:

“I IS AND THEY AIN’T.”

So then:

“HOW CAN YOU COMPARE EXISTENCE TO

NON-EXISTENCE?”

Or:

“HOW CAN YOU LIKEN REALITY TO NON-REALITY?”

And:

“HOW CAN YOU COMPARE EVERYTHING

TO NOTHING?”

We read about God in Psalm 90:2,

“….even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.”

Which means about the other fabricated gods:

“EVEN FROM NEVERLASTING  TO NEVERLASTING, THEY ARE NOT

AND NEVER HAVE BEEN GOD.”

MY BIGGEST CONCERN

I am not ultimately anxious about the enduring recession, though I am very concerned.

I am not ultimately anxious about the real estate market with its foreclosures, bankruptcies, and colossal property devaluations, though I am deeply concerned. Every such event breaks my heart because it breaks the hearts of families.

I am not ultimately concerned about the intellectual dishonesty of the president and the congress for trying to hoodwink the American public as if we are the dumbest hoodwinkables in history. Trying to flim-flam the American people by increasing budgets in insane and unsustainable amounts and debt! The most dishonest and irresponsible president and congress in America history have three solutions to the obscene national debt and deficit:

1. Increase government spending.

2. Have the government spend more money.

3. Increase the amount of money spent by government.

What I am overwhelmingly concerned about, and well we all should be, is that we are sending our future, America’s future, and the Church’s future to the academic primary, secondary, and post-high school institutions of “EVER LEARNING BUT NEVER TRUTHING.” Institutions of worldly philosophies and ideologies that not only optionalize God in comparative religious studies, but seek to disconnect students from the Bible and historic Christianity! Institutions of higher learning that have become what Hal Lindsey calls SOPHISTICATED PAGANISM.

I know about such institutions because I have been there, and I was attacked and maligned for my faith in Christ, and that is already fifty four years ago. And now today our children are being taught implicitly and explicitly about God the Great I AM that “HE IS NOT.”

In his book Emerging Adulthood, Jeffrey Arnett describes the belief systems of young people as “highly individualized,” and which he calls:

“MAKE-YOUR-OWN-RELIGION.”

Exactly!!! This of course is reinforced strongly on American campuses. He found that only 23% of young people in America are “Conservative Believers,” while the remaining 77% are agnostic/atheist, deist, or liberal believers who believe in some kind of subjective religion and strongly question many aspects of Judeo-Christian beliefs and practices.

Many do not adhere to a specific belief system at all, but rather that everyone has their own idea of God and what God is. Whatever you feel God is, that is who God is to you, and that is all that really matters. American colleges and universities are multi-hundreds-of-thousands teachers and students living together day after day for four years who believe, practice, and teach the philosophy of:

“MAKE YOUR OWN RELIGION AND GOD OR NO

RELIGION OR GOD AT ALL.”

if you will:

“WHATEVER TURNS YOU ON OR TURNS YOU OFF –

HAVE GOD OR NO GOD YOUR WAY.”

And of course, on top of that all-important issue, the peer and sexual pressures are also greatly multiplied in American school and college environments. Brooke Wells for her master’s thesis, along with Jean Twinge the author of the incredibly disconcerting book Generation Me, gathered data on sexual behavior and attitudes  from research reports from 269, 649 young people collected over four decades. It is the most comprehensive study ever done about change over time in sexual behavior.

In the late 1950s, my high school years, only 30% of young people approved of sex before marriage; now 75% approve. The change in attitudes was even more striking among young women: only 12% percent approved of premarital sex in the 1950s, compared to 80% now. In a recent poll, 84% of single women with a college education agreed that it is common these days to have sex just for the fun and not expect any commitment beyond the encounter itself. As many attest, “Premarital sex is a must. Sex is like anything else – it takes practice. The more practice, the more we feel at ease with the act and with ourselves.”

In fact, young people no longer call it DATING, but instead they call it HOOKING UP when referring to sexual relationships. Dating is a thing of the past, hooking up is the in thing. Only those who don’t have sex do the outdated and degrading thing called dating, and those are the generally unattractive ones who no one wants to have sex with anyway. So the secular reasoning goes!

Welcome to:

“MAKE UP YOUR OWN GOD AND SEX-FOR-THE-FUN-OF-IT

COLLEGE AND CAMPUS ENVIRONMENTS.”

There it is:

“COLLEGIATE AND UNIVERSITY DO-IT-YOURSELF RELIGION AND

HOOKING-UP SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS.”

THE ONLY TRUE CHOICE

There is no valid choice between Christianity and other world religions. That choice is a sham! That choice  is a bogus and non-existent choice, for there are no other gods than Jesus Christ. Hear me:

“NONE OF US IN OUR RIGHT MIND WOULD PRESENT TO

OUR CHILDREN IN OUR HOME THE NOTION THAT

JESUS CHRIST IS ONE AMONG MANY

COMPARABLE OPTIONS SET BEFORE

THEM LIKE HINDUISM, ISLAM ETC.”

Life’s only valid choice is:

“BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST OR DISBELIEVE JESUS

CHRIST AS ONE’S LORD AND SAVIOR.”

Truth is not multiple choice! Even as truth will not allow itself to be considered as an option to many falsehoods, so Christ will not allow Himself to be considered as an option to other saviors. Islam sees no other options to Allah and hates as well as kills with murderous barbarity those infidels who do. Christianity sees no other options to Jesus Christ and loves and tries to save with love and compassion those who do.

What did you say? Oh yes, I knew somebody would bring up the God or Baal choice, which must make Comparative Religions a valid course to take. We read in I Kings 18:21 when Elijah said to all the sons of Israel at Mt. Carmel,

“If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal follow him.”

So are you saying to me that God presented Baal to the people as a viable and comparable option to Himself? Are you saying to me that Jehovah God was saying to the people that the jury was still out as to who was the true God – Jehovah or Baal? Hardly! Come now! God spent the rest of the day burning every course on comparable gods and religions into ashes. The lesson is there in flaming monotheism, that the only choice and option in their lives was Jehovah or not Jehovah – Jehovah God or no god at all. Simplifies it doesn’t it?

An amazing display of Divine Exclusivity! God sent down fire and burned the soaked altar, burned the water-filled moat around the altar, and burned the water itself to nothing. Baal couldn’t light a match or flick a spark which only proved that Baal was nothing too. Fact is:

“NO ONE CAN REVERSE THE WORKINGS OF NATURE BUT SOMEONE

WHO IS SUPERNATURALLY ABOVE NATURE.”

And that SOMEONE is the Only One beside Whom there is no other – JEHOVAH GOD!!! There isn’t the slightest competition as to who is more supernatural. This was not the GOD OLYMPICS between the only two gods left standing when it came to the “FIRE BURNING WATER EVENT.” You know, kind of like the “WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN COMPETITION” on ESPN, only this was the “WORLD’S STRONGEST GOD COMPETITION” on. JHWH.There can be no WORLD’S STRONGEST GOD COMPETITION when there are no other gods to compete with the “GREAT I AM,” for beside Him there are only the “ARE NOTS” who are all “DROP OUTS.”

Abraham apparently had his hands full of gods in polytheistic Ur of the Chaldees, and they got on his nerves. He had been fooled and fleeced by these non-god gods long enough. He left the Ur of the Chaldees and its dumb looking stationary idol gods, with the only God who could and would travel with him and provide all of his needs – His name was El – the “Wayfarer God.” Have we made the same decision, or are we still stuck with Abram in pre-Jehovah Ur of the Chaldees scratching our heads comparing all equally pathetic gods? That is what will greet your children on the campuses of the Ur of the Americas.

MAINTAINING AND BEING MAINTAINED BY TRUTH

You know what is really going on here don’t you in American school and college classrooms and campuses? Simply this:

“IT IS SO MUCH EASIER AND FAR MORE COMFORTABLE

FOR PROFESSORS TO PUT THE ONLY GOD OFF IN A

COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS LECTURE, THAN

FOR THEM TO ALLOW THE ONLY  GOD

TO PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACES.”

But now back to the real issue here. I want to tell you a true story told by Dr. Buster Wilson about a boy who at age 13, five years ago, gave a speech to a group of Christian conservatives as to why at his young age he believed in conservative Christian values. It was a magnificent confession of faith in the Lord of the Word and the Word of the Lord. Five years later, after attending a liberal American college as a freshman, he now has changed his views to join the no-absolute-truth-or-morality crowd on that campus.

The now young college student has become part of the 79% whose faith in Christ and the Bible has eroded. Of course there was great pressure from godless teachers and students alike for the lad to choose another viewpoint in the academic pantheon of comparable and equally good philosophies and religions and gods. Just like John Roberts caved in to pressure from the left in the White House, the Congress, and the Supreme Court itself.

In this world it is always much easier to turn away from truth than to turn to and stand up for truth. Men, young and old, stand down from truth because to be honest, standing up for truth can be so unprofitable in this world – you lose your peers, your friends, even your family. Fact:

“IT IS VERY HARD TO MAINTAIN THE TRUTH IN AN

ANTI-TRUTH ENVIRONMENT, BUT IT IS FAR HARDER IN

THAT ENVIRONMENT TO BE MAINTAINED

BY THE TRUTH.”

Understand clearly here that in secular  and liberal religious colleges our kids will have to fight their brains out just to maintain the truths of the Christian faith, but in Christ-centered colleges they will be maintained by the truth.

Plus in these secular and liberal, religious, academic environments they may well have to stand alone and lose friends who in fact were not really their friends at all as it turns out. Yes, Jesus is the friend that sticks closer than a Mom or Dad, closer than a brother or sister, and closer than a colleague or co-student. But it is so very important in those years of destiny that they be surrounded by professors and students who are friends of Christ. It is hard enough to learn, let alone be taught and surrounded by professors and students who are enemies of Christ.

In short:

“IT IS MUCH EASIER TO FOREVER DEBATE

PROPOSITIONS ANDAND PHILOSOPHIES

AND RELIGIONS THAN TO EMBRACE,

ASSERT, LIVE, AND DEFEND THE

ONLY TRUE ONE.”

CONCLUSION

Parents, we would not knowingly send our children to a perilously infected and quarantined school, would we? Why then do we send our kids to institutions of perilously infected learning without truth that only present comparative and optional religions which really means no true religion or god at all? Young people in these should-be quarantined institutions are walking headlong into divine and spiritual and moral optionality rather than Christian exclusivity.

Aren’t we all appalled at hit-and-run drivers? They act as if the accident didn’t happen because they are no longer there. They leave the scene and leave their consciences behind. When our children are sent by us or are brought by us to attend anti-God destroy-faith-and-morality brain factories, and they have their brains scrambled by religious and moral egg-headed professors, aren’t we all hit-and-run parents who leave our kids at the scene of the crime after we brought them there? We all are involved in the tragic accident that should have and could have been avoided.

Listen now:

“NOTHING CAN BE TOO MUCH AVOIDED BY OUR SONS AND

DAUGHTERS THAN THAT WHICH IS WARNED ABOUT

AND HATED BY GOD HIMSELF.”

I ask:

“WHAT SENSE DOES IT MAKE TO WARN OUR SONS AND

DAUGHTERS ABOUT PITS, PRECIPICES, AND POISONS,

AND THEN SEND THEM TO THOSE SAME PITS AND

PRECIPICES WHERE THEY ARE FED THOSE

POISONS TO EAT AND DRINK IN EVERY

CLASSROOM.”

Listen to me good:

“WE ARE NOT PLAYING BUMPER CARS AND DODGE BALL HERE,

BUT RATHER WE ARE DEALING WITH SPIRITUAL AND

MORAL LIFE AND DEATH ISSUES.”

There are those reading this plea who know exactly what is being said, because you have gone through it and are perhaps now in it. I want you to know about some very strong and AAA rated Christian four year colleges for pastoral, missionary, and teacher training etc. I also want you to know about  some very strong AAA Christian Liberal Arts Colleges when it comes to the Arts, Sciences, Languages etc. I want to fully and eagerly recommend the following schools of the Assemblies of God, such as:
