You go to someone and say,

“YOU KNOW, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND!”

Or again,

“YOU KNOW, YOU TOP THEM ALL.”

THE PROPHET DANIEL records that very thing in the mouth of a HEATHEN KING mind you. Nebuchadnezzar, yes King Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon:

a. REMEMBER HIM? HE WAS HAVING VIVID DREAMS! HEAVY DREAMS! SCARY DREAMS!

b. King Neb then called in the Psychology Faculty of the University of Babylon!

c. He called in professors, readers, senior lecturers, all of the really heady folk in his kingdom!

d. None of them could interpret the dreams. So he decreed that the whole lot of them should be killed. No interpretations, then no tomorrows for you.

ENTER DANIEL, to make a long story short:

-First he prayed to God!

-Second, God revealed the whole dream to Daniel, and Daniel instant-replayed it back to Nebuchadnezzar, stop- action and all!

-Third, he interpreted it word for word to old Neb!

NEBUCHADNEZZAR was dazzled, and far more than slightly impressed:

-And Ker-plop, He says to Daniel in Daniel 2:47,

“OF A TRUTH DANIEL, YOUR GOD IS A GOD OF GODS, AND A LORD OF KINGS.”

If you will:

-Your God, Daniel, He’s one of a kind, a God of Gods! I mean, Daniel, I have been around gods all my life! I know my idols, but compared to your God, they really stink up the temple. Your God is really  unique, one of a kind, your God is a God of Gods. I mean, fancy a God who can tell dreams, man, He cleans up on them all. Even I can put the TOP-GOD PIECES TOGETHER! (While the priests of the other gods sulked conspicuously.)

-In short:

“YOUR GOD TOPS THEM ALL.”

THAT’S THE PRAISE REFRAIN found throughout Scripture, over & over again:

“GOD OF GODS, KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS.”

If you will:

“YOUR GOD IS ONE OF A KIND – HE IS THE REAL TOPPER.”

POLYTHEISTS AND MONOTHEISTS

IT SHOULD NOT surprise us therefore:

“THAT THE GOD OF THE BIBLE CUTS OUT THE BOTTOM OF HISTORY’S BAG OF GODS, WITH

THE GOD TO END ALL GODS.” 

For sure:

“THIS GOD THEREFORE WILL NOT WORK WELL ON A COMMITTEE WITH OTHER GODS.” 

But until men find Him, they will forever be on a god hunt, and what they find will always be unsatisfactory. So Satan just keeps on inventing false gods for them.

In ancient days, people were always coming up with new gods, new idols. It seems that one god was never enough, and so ancient civilizations were often POLYTHEISTIC – THE WORSHIP OF MANY GODS. You know:

“THE NEW AND LATEST MODEL OF GODS IN WHOM ALL OF THE KINKS HAVE

BEEN WORKED OUT.”

Yet they could never find the ONE GOD that was fully satisfactory. They always end up with GOD JUNIORS, continuing their search for the god to end all gods. You know, THE REAL TOPPER! So they often ended up with a gallery of gods all the while looking for that GOD SENIOR. Hinduism for instance has literally thousands of gods still today. 

I’ve got great news for you, I’ve found the God Who Tops Them All, the God Who if you get to know Him will very quickly change you from a frantic POLYTHEIST into a contented MONOTHEIST. His name is Jesus Christ! He is not God Jr. When you tag someone with ‘Junior,’ it is sort of like saying, “You are like your father, only less.” Dad will always be ‘Senior,’ and you will always be the ‘Junior’ representation of the ‘Senior.’ But not Jesus Christ the Son of God. He is fully God along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and there is nothing ‘Junior’ about Him.

This God not only saves and cures nymphomaniacs, egomaniacs, and pyromaniacs, He saves and cures godomaniacs too. This God is so complete, so totally the embodiment of what GODNESS must be, you will find yourself throwing away all of your other gods like worthless trinkets.

And so you will find language like this throughout the Bible, such as in Psalm 135:5,

“For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.”

Without this God to end all gods, all people are doing is PLAYING RELIGION with their PRACTICE GODS, much like children play house as PRACTICE PARENTS with their PRACTICE CHILDREN. That is all polytheism really is, man’s imagination gone wild under Satan’s deception playing religion, and like children thinking it is the real thing.

EXAMPLE

Exodus 15:

King Pharaoh of Egypt chases the Israelites out of Egypt, after the death of his eldest son! Pharaoh then pursues the Israelites in anger & bitterness to the Red Sea. Israel walks through the midst of the sea on dry ground. Pharaoh with his armies and chariots pursue, and drown in the Sea of Reeds, as the waters close in over his sinking chariot. And, there, gathered in safety, on the other side, Moses & the Israelites!

-And they sing in Ex. 15:11,

“WHO IS LIKE UNTO THEE O LORD, AMONG THE GODS, WHO IS LIKE UNTO THEE, GLORIOUS

IN HOLINESS, FEARFUL IN PRAISES, DOING WONDERS.”

I MEAN, O Lord:

Let ALL THE NATIONS BRING FORTH THEIR IDOLS! LET ALL THE NATIONS BRING FORTH THEIR IDEAS OF DEITIES! And, we have seen plenty in our 430 years in Egypt! BUT GOD,

“WHO IS LIKE UNTO YOU, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND, THERE IS NO GOD LIKE OUR GOD,

HALLELUJAH! YOU ARE SOMETHING ELSE, GOD, YOU REALLY ARE! YOU

ABSOLUTELY TOP THEM ALL – BIG TIME.” 

Tragically, they kept on forgetting this very truth, and when they did, isn’t it interesting that then they began to make idols and worship the false gods of the heathen over and over again. Once you have found the real thing and leave it, you will of necessity go on an unending search for fake gods. When will we ever learn?

Modern religious people, church people, do that very thing by making gods in their own image, and according to their own preferences. The polytheistic-popular gods today of men’s imaginations are THE MATERIALISTIC GOD OF THE RELIGIOUS TELEVISION CULT, THE MORAL-RELATIVISM GOD OF THE APOSTATE CHURCH, and THE NO-WRATH GOD OF THE UNIVERSALISTS. Now there is a rogue’s gallery of fake modern gods just for starters. Oh yes, people get all hot and bothered and lathered up about these false deities, but in the end they will see what a flop they and their deities really were.

JESUS CHRIST is likewise so exclusively praised as the God to end all gods in I Timothy 6:15-16,

“WHO IS THE BLESSED AND ONLY POTENTATE, THE KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS,”

“WHO ONLY HATH IMMORTALITY, DWELLING IN LIGHT WHICH NO MAN CAN APPROACH

UNTO, WHOM NO MAN HATH SEEN OR CAN SEE, TO WHOM BE HONOR AND

POWER EVERLASTING. AMEN.”

Revelation 17:14,

“FOR HE IS LORD OF LORDS, AND KING OF KINGS, AND THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM

ARE CALLED, CHOSEN, FAITHFUL.”

I mean Jesus,

“KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND, YOU TOP THEM ALL.”

-Yes, I’ve heard of HITLER, MUSSOLINI, KAISER, NAPOLEON, CHURCHILL, ROOSEVELT, WELLINGTON, and all of the rest!! But, were they ever really, were they FICTION, OR NON- FICTION? But you LORD JESUS, KING OF KINGS JESUS, LORD OF LORDS, ETERNAL GOD, they are dead, YOU ARE ALIVE, You are one of a kind, their kingdoms are now YOUR KINGDOMS!!

STORY – ONE OF A KIND JOCKEY

Rolondo Soto took his family from Mexico to America looking for work. He is a slightly built man, and was advised because of his size that he might look into being a jockey in the horse racing world. So he did just that.

Rolondo became very good at his new learned craft, and eventually raced horses in such outstanding venues as Hialeah and Belmont Park. He was able now to support his family. God was very good to Rolondo, even though Rolondo was not a believer.

One race day, Rolondo was to race on a mount that was favored to win. It was a very fast, strong horse, and he was confident that he would ride him to the victory circle. Coming around the far turn into the homestretch, Rolondo called upon the horse to make his move. He let the reigns go loose, tapped him on the rear once, spoke to him and sure enough, the horse surged to the front and was moving with great power and speed. Rolondo and the horse moved as one. Equine poetry in motion!

Then something totally inexplicable happened! It was then that, as Rolondo related to me, suddenly he realized that he was no longer one with, nor was he in control of the horse. Another power, if you will, it was as if another jockey took control and was reining in the horse to bring him to a stop. Rolondo could do nothing as this power was pulling the horse back. Rolondo told me that he felt as if he was suspended in time and space, and was simply along for the ride.

Finally, the horse came to a stop at the finish line behind all of the horses that had passed him. When he dismounted to examine the horse, instantly the horse dropped dead right there on the spot. An autopsy later revealed that his mount had died from a double aneurysm.

Standing there on the track next to his deceased horse, he realized that it must have been the Lord. If the horse had continued full speed, without a doubt the horse would have bled faster and dropped dead in front of all the other horses, and Rolondo would have been trampled to death. The Lord had reined in the horse to save Rolondo’s life!

That day, Rolondo accepted Jesus Christ as His Savior. The same horse that ran to its death ran Rolondo into the arms of Jesus and eternal life. This is a real brother that I talked to after preaching in The House of Prayer in Holland Michigan on October 27, 2013. As we stated to each other after the service and altar ministry,

“JESUS CHRIST IS THE JOCKEY THAT TOPS THEM ALL – JOCK OF JOCKS –

RIDER OF RIDERS.”

NO EXAGGERATION POSSIBLE

What do I mean when I say that?:

-You see WHENEVER WE PRAISE AN INDIVIDUAL, It MUST OF NECESSITY BE DONE IN IGNORANCE. I mean, I DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT INDIVIDUAL, and that is just as well. And so, I PICK OUT IN THAT CLOUD OF IGNORANCE, THE ONE OR TWO GOOD THINGS I DO KNOW, AND PRAISE THEM FOR THOSE SPECIFICS, HOWEVER OR WHATEVER.

THEREFORE IT IS LIMITED PRAISE:

1. I cannot PRAISE ANY ONE MAN INFINITELY!

2. Simply because EACH OF US HAS SHORTCOMINGS, SINS, FAILURES!

3. Human praise deliberately OVERLOOKS SHORTCOMINGS, AND ZERO’S IN ON THOSE PARTICULAR POINTS OF VIRTUE.

4. That’s the way it is around here, we don’t go around here looking for flaws and pointing them out!!

5. Oh, you will have no trouble finding them here, but if that’s your style, do it SOMEWHERE ELSE, NOT HERE.

6. No, No, HERE, IN GOD’S KINGDOM, WE ACCENT THE POSITIVE AND STICK OUR FOOT IN THE MOUTH OF THE NEGATIVE.

7. Or, as Paul writes in Philippians 4:8-9,

“FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST,

WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER

THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT… IF THERE

BE ANY VIRTUE, AND IF THERE BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS.”

“THOSE THINGS, WHICH YE HAVE BOTH LEARNED, AND RECEIVED, AND HEARD, AND SEEN

IN ME, DO… AND THE GOD OF PEACE SHALL BE WITH YOU (and with our church).”

BUT BECAUSE GOD IS INFINITELY PERFECT:

-We can never overstate His Glory.

-We can never overpraise His Deity.

-We can never over exaggerate His Majesty.

-We can never over exalt His Royalty.

-We can never over emphasize His Sovereignty.

In short:

“GREAT IS THE LORD, AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED, AND HIS GREATNESS

IS UNSEARCHABLE.” Psalm 145:3

In short:

“NO MATTER HOW GREATLY WE PRAISE THE LORD, WHO HE IS WILL ALWAYS

TOP OUR GREATEST PRAISE.”

THE SOVEREIGN LORD

Here is a word that PEOPLE DON’T LIKE – SOVEREIGN:

“MEANS THERE IS ONLY ONE, YOU CAN’T HAVE TWO SOVEREIGN RULERS! MEANS THERE

IS ONLY ONE. YOU CAN’T HAVE TWO FINAL, ABSOLUTE BOSSES!”

Lots of religious and semi-religious people like to dabble with IN-BETWEEN GODS. You see:

“GODS THAT ARE NOT FULLY GOD, AND YET NOT FULLY NOT GODS.”

And so they spend their entire life messing around with SEMI-SOVEREIGNS, gods whose words are taken semi-seriously, gods who give at best good advice but no fiats that must be obeyed in and under all times and circumstances. Not GOD, JUST SEMI-GODS, GODIES.”

If you will:

“GODIES WHO STILL FALL SHORT FOR SINNIES WHO FALL SHORT – A HAPPY MEDIUM ALL

THE WAY AROUND. VERY COMPATIBLE SO THAT NEITHER REALLY HAVE

TO CHANGE. THEY MEET EACH OTHER HALF WAY.”

SOVEREIGN HOWEVER MEANS:

1. KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, THERE IS ONLY ONE ULTIMATE KING, LORD!

2. AND BECAUSE YOU’RE IT JESUS:

-WORTHY ART THOU, YOU’RE GREATEST AND ONLY WORTHYSHIP!

– I CONFESS TO YOU, I AM UNDER YOUR RULE.

– I CAN’T DO MY OWN THING ANY LONGER, JUST YOUR THING.

– THERE ARE NOT TWO FINAL, ULTIMATE POWERS IN THE UNIVERSE:

-WE ARE NOT A DUALISTIC PEOPLE!:

“WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD, CAPITAL “G” – GOOD, AND THEN AT THE SAME TIME BELIEVE IN

BEELZEBUB, CAPITAL “B” – BAD. THE DEVIL IS, BUT HE IS UNDER, AND WITHIN THE

SOVEREIGN RULE OF GOD.”

We read in I Chronicles 16:29-31,

“GIVE UNTO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME: BRING AN OFFERING, AND COME

BEFORE HIM: WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS”

“FEAR BEFORE HIM ALL THE EARTH: THE WORLD ALSO SHALL BE STABLE, THAT IT

NOT BE MOVED.”

“LET THE HEAVENS BE GLAD, AND LET THE EARTH REJOICE: AND LET MEN SAY

AMONG THE NATIONS,

‘THE LORD REIGNETH’!’”

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HE IS SAYING THERE? LET THE HEAVENS BE GLAD, THE LORD REIGNETH! THE HEAVENS, THAT’S THE DWELLING OF GOD! THE HEAVENS, THAT’S ALSO IN LOWER FASHION THE DWELLING OF DEMONS! THE HEAVENS, THAT’S THE SPIRIT WORLD, TELL IT THERE:

“THE LORD REIGNS!”

LET THE EARTH REJOICE, THE LORD REIGNETH! TELL IT IN THE HEAVENS, TELL IT ON EARTH! MAKE SURE YOU TELL ALL THE NATIONS TOO! LET EVERY DICTATOR, PRESIDENT, KING, LET EVERYONE KNOW! TELL IT ACROSS AMERICA, TELL IT IN WASHINGTON D.C. ( D.C. – the District of Corruption). CALL AND TELL IT TO THE WHITE HOUSE, CALL AND TELL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS. BIBLICAL PICTURES OF CHRIST’S SOVEREIGNTY

FIRST – JOHN ON THE ISLE OF PATMOS:

Things look as BLEAK AS THEY COULD EVER LOOK! Churches were BEING CLOSED BY THE DOZENS BY THE ROMAN EMPIRE! IF YOU WERE A CHRISTIAN, YOU WERE BEING DRIVEN OUT OF JOB, HOME & FAMILY. MANY CHRISTIANS WERE ALREADY LIVING IN CAVES ON THE ASIAN COAST! IT WAS TERRIBLE, LOOKED AS IF THE CHURCH WAS FINISHED! AND JOHN HIMSELF IS NOW IN CHAINS ON THE ISLE OF PATMOS!

AND JOHN SAYS:

1. Rev. 4:1,

“A DOOR WAS OPENED TO ME IN HEAVEN”.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?:

-It doesn’t mean THAT HE LOOKED UP INTO THE SKY, it doesn’t say that!

-Heaven is RIGHT HERE, YOU CAN’T SEE IT, IT’S IN ANOTHER DIMENSION!

-God is OPENING A DOOR INTO THE INVISIBLE WORLD FOR JOHN AND US!

-So HE AND WE CAN SEE IN THE INVISIBLE WORLD WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON!

-For the VISIBLE IS CONTROLLED BY THE INVISIBLE!!

-THE SOVEREIGN LORD JESUS IN THE INVISIBLE RULES OVER THE VISIBLE!!

2. SO JOHN STEPS OUT OF THE VISIBLE, THROUGH THE DOOR INTO THE INVISIBLE:

-HE WALKS THROUGH A DOOR, AND THE FIRST THING HE SAW – A THRONE!

-THE WAY THINGS LOOK IN THE VISIBLE, IT’S THE LAST THING WE SEE!

-BUT THE FIRST THING IN THE WORLD WHERE THINGS REALLY ARE – A THRONE!

-John says in Rev. 4:2,

“AND BEHOLD, A THRONE WAS SET IN HEAVEN, ONE SAT THEREON!”

3.THINGS TODAY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE ALL OUT OF CONTROL:

-But they AREN’T, IT only looks that way!!

-There is SOMEONE WEAVING ALL OF HISTORY TO IT’S CONCLUSION!

-THERE IS SOMEONE WHO IS IN ABSOLUTE, FINAL CONTROL!

-AND WE KNOW NOW WHO THAT IS:

“LORD OF LORDS, KING OF KINGS! JESUS CHRIST, THE SOVEREIGN LORD, ALLELUIA,

THE LORD OUR GOD OMNIPOTENT REIGNETH!”

4. Many couples choose not to have children, so that they don’t have to bring them into such a cruel and dangerous world. THEY DON’T SEE THE THRONE.

TRUE STORY:

A young girl ran away with her boyfriend as they hitchhiked as far as Oklahoma from Arizona. The boyfriend got into a fight with the driver that picked them up, and in the melee a gun was fired and shot the girl through her wrist. After she got out of the hospital, the authorities brought her back to Arizona. Besides the scar on her wrist, she brought back a souvenir of the adventure – a baby who was born about 9 months after her return.The young mother named her baby daughter:

“FREEDOM ROSE.”

The court awarded custody of the baby girl to the mother. However, FREEDOM ROSE’S grandmother, perhaps figuring that to carry a name like FREEDOM ROSE in this land which was once the land of the free and the home of the brave, but which is now losing its freedoms under a Marxist regime, was unwise and would put her great-grand daughter at risk. In any event, grandma change the name of FREEDOM ROSE to:

“HELEN.”

To concentrate today on the White House and the Congress is enough to make a lot of folks, even religious ones, lose sight of THE THRONE IN HEAVEN.

SECOND – THE KINGDOM OF JUDAH (Read Isaiah 10)

-Tiny Judah, so small, you could fit it in Michigan over & over again! You could probably fit it inside some of Michigan’s counties – tiny kingdom. And coming against them was ASSYRIA!:

1. A MASSIVE BLOC that was EATING UP THE NATIONS.

2. It was literally INHALING THE NATIONS, THE COMING WORLD RULER!

3. In their world, there was never Assyria & neighbors, just Assyria & victims.

4. In their world, nothing was yours, only THINGS WHICH ASSYRIA WANTED!

5. And if they WANTED THEM, THEY MUST HAVE THEM!! THEY WILL HAVE THEM!!

-And ISAIAH STANDS UP TO ADDRESS ASSYRIA:

1. Like a field mouse, addressing A HERD OF PLUNDERING ELEPHANTS!

2. He says for God to them in Isaiah 10:5,

“0 ASSYRIA, THE ROD OF MINE ANGER!”

-“ASSYRIA, YOU ARE ONLY A ROD IN MINE HAND”, says God!

-“I WANTED TO GIVE THE WORLD A SPANKING”, so I picked you up!

-“I SEND YOU, I SEND YOU, I COMMISSION YOU!”

-“YOU THOUGHT IT WAS IN YOUR OWN HEAD, DON’T BE SILLY!”

-“SUCH AND SUCH A NATION NEEDED A SPANKING, A LICKING!”

-“SO ASSYRIA, THE GOD ABOVE ALL NATIONS, I SAID, OFF YOU GO NOW, MY ROD, SPANK THEM.”

-AND ASSYRIA DOES JUST THAT, OFF IT GOES, GOD’S SPANKING ROD.

3. GOD NEEDED TO:

-CHOP DOWN SOME OF THE NATIONS, THEY WERE TOO BIG FOR THEMSELVES, FOR THEIR OWN BRITCHES!

-God decided to do SOME DIVINE NATIONAL LUMBER-JACKING.

-So ASSYRIA, YOU’RE MY AXE, THAT’S WHO YOU ARE, MY AXE!”

-And He says to them in Isaiah 10:15,

“SHALL THE AXE BOAST ITSELF OVER THE ONE WHO CHOPS WITH IT.”

-Who do you think you are, Assyria?

4. DO YOU SEE THE GLORY OF THIS?

-It would be like one of the Counties in Michigan, Mecosta County!

-To go and talk to the Iranians, AND SAY, “WATCH IT, BUDDY.”

-“Watch it, Powder Puff, you’re just a tool in God’s hands!”

-“You’re nothing in yourself,

“GOD IS SOVEREIGN, YOU’RE JUST A PADDLE IN HIS HANDS.”

5. AND THEN WHEN ASSYRIA GOT TOO BIG FOR ITS BRITCHES!:

-They are COMING AGAINST JERUSALEM, AND JUDAH!

-And in Isaiah 37:36, we read:

“THEN THE ANGEL OF THE LORD WENT FORTH, AND SMOTE IN THE CAMP OF ASSYRIANS,

185,000. AND WHEN THEY AROSE EARLY IN THE MORNING, BEHOLD

THEY WERE ALL DEAD CORPSES.” 

Listen:

“WHEN YOU ARE A DEAD CORPSE, YOU ARE REALLY DEAD, TWICE DEAD, DEADO-DEADO!”

-Young People, you don’t need BATMAN for Excitement!! YOU DON’T NEED THE FORCE! You don’t need SPIDER- MAN OR IRON-MAN for power!!

-Read your Bible, KNOW YOUR GOD, BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP:

1. Your sovereign ruler of the universe!

2. King of Kings, Lord of Lords!

3. JESUS CHRIST, WHOSE KINGDOM IS THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM!!

PRAISE THE LORD ANYWAY?

-I STILL HEAR CHRISTIANS SAY:

“PRAISE THE LORD ANYWAY!”

-We don’t praise the Lord ANYWAY! We praise the Lord PERIOD!

-We praise the Lord with INTELLIGENCE!

-We praise the Lord because we are utterly convinced that Jesus is Sovereign Lord!!

-That Jesus is ruling for my good!!

-There IS NOT ONE PINPOINT IN THE UNIVERSE THAT HE IS NOT THE SOVEREIGN!

EXAMPLE – PAUL IN PRISON:

1. Paul should not have BEEN IN JAIL FOR STARTERS!

2. He HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG, HE WAS THERE UNJUSTLY, FRAMED!

3. His ONLY CRIME WAS LOVING JESUS TOO MUCH!

4. And he writes in Phil 1:21,

“FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST!”

5. Yes, says PAUL, RIGHT HERE, LIFE IS CHRIST!! RIGHT HERE IN THIS DARK PIT!!

6. JESUS HAS TOTAL RULE HERE, IT’S ALL CHRIST FOR ME HERE!

OH PEOPLE:

1. GET THIS AGITATION OUT OF YOUR SPIRITS! SELF PITY! BEGONE!

2. QUIT FIGHTING CIRCUMSTANCES, PEOPLE, ILL TREATMENT, INJUSTICE, SUFFERINGS!

3. HE IS THE GOD OF GODS, THE KING OF KINGS, THE SOVEREIGN LORD THAT WE HAVE BECOME ONE WITH!

4. JESUS IS LORD, I SUBMIT TO HIM, THANK YOU LORD!

5. Then it’s not JUST A SHOW (Praising the Lord through gritted teeth).

6. No, THEN THE PEACE AND JOY IS REAL, AND IT FLOWS TO OTHERS:

a. Paul & Silas sang praises to God at midnight till all prisoners heard them.

b. Let’s forget we know the story so well!!

c. Understand that they UNDERSTOOD THAT THE LORD JESUS RULED RIGHT THERE AND THAT HE HAD THE UPPER HAND, AND SO DID THEY.

d. BURIED IN THE LASHES ON THEIR BACK WERE THE RULE, THE POWER, AND THE WISDOM OF GOD.

e. You really got to believe IT IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE HEARD BY PRISONERS IN OUTER CELLS!

f. I don’t just fight situations, though I fight indeed. But people, I PRAISE THE LORD. Paul invites us to BE AT PEACE WITH HIM AND HIS SOVEREIGN LORD IN THIS PIT!

CONCLUSION:

-Finally, I guess this is the bottom line!! When Jesus comes into our lives, THERE IS DEEP PEACE AND CALM WITHIN, because HE IS GOD OVER ALL – BLESSED FOREVER.

We don’t need:

1. A TRANQUILIZER

2. A DRINK!

3. A JOINT!

4. A CIGARETTE

EXAMPLE:

Russia needs all the props Satan has to offer. Russia is drowning in alcohol. The average Russian man consumes a bottle of Vodka every other day. The life span of a man in Russia is 60 years. Far more are passing from this life than are being born into it. The divorce rate is 80%, and one Russian woman is murdered by her husband every 40 minutes. Two out of every five children are victims of family violence, and 2500 children were murdered by their own parents last year alone.

I DON’T NEED PROPS ANYMORE, none of it, not a bit of it. Oh, once, I needed that crutch, that cop out! Because MY SOUL WAS IN SUCH A MESS, FULL OF FEARS, TERRORS, LONELINESS, EMPTINESS! But once the SOVEREIGN LORD and the PRINCE OF PEACE comes into your heart:

1. PEACE REIGNS, WHOLENESS, QUIET, CALM.

2. THINGS THEN DROP OFF, I DON’T NEED THEM ANY MORE!

3. PEACE/CONFIDENCE/ASSURANCE BECOME A WAY OF LIFE, I DON’T NEED CRUTCHES TO LEAN ON, OR THE BREASTS OF THIS WORLD TO SUCK ON!

LISTEN TO THE GOD OF Isaiah 66:1 and 12,

“Thus says the Lord, ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth Is my footstool….’”

“For thus says the Lord, ‘Behold I extend peace to her (Jerusalem) like a

river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you

shall be nursed, you shall be carried on the hip, and fondled on

the knee.”

Amazing verses:

1. When we see WHO IS ON THE THRONE OF THE UNIVERSE  – THE LORD OF LORD AND THE KING OF KINGS, THE GOD WHO TOPS THEM ALL, then there is a river of peace on the inside of our hearts.

2. Then a mighty river of peace picks up old boulders and trees, knocks them away!

3. That a Mighty River of Peace carves out A WHOLE NEW LIFE FOR YOU AND I.

4. And I am carried along on the current of PEACE, THE LIFE OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE DEEP WITHIN. I am carried along in peace like a nursing child, cradled on God’s hip, and fondled on God’s knee. What a truth – nursed, carried, and fondled by the God Who rules over all! His hip is my resting place, and His knee is my throne.

5. And I have peace, and create peace wherever I go! People can feel it! My life is centered in the SOVEREIGN LORD OF LORDS – THE GOD WHO TOPS THEM ALL! Amen!
