Some might say that the title of this teaching is far wide of the mark. There could well be those who would say, “We are not nervous, rather, we are worried sick about the future.” Some might even go so far as to say, “We are scared to death.” That thumbnail being bitten in many instances has now gone down to the nub.

I sense that those who were acting casual about the future of America and of the world not so long ago, have now become concerned. And I sense too that those who have been concerned have now become worried, and that those who have been worried are now scared out of their wits. There is a shaking taking place not only in national allegiances and the world economy, but there is a shaking taking place deep in the hearts of men on an unprecedented global scale. We read in Luke 21:26,

“Men fainting from fear and the expectation of things which

are coming upon the world….”

To listen to the American people’s conversations today, both churched and unchurched, it would seem that we have gone forever beyond “How The West Was Won” to now “How America Was Lost.” Cinema’s Henry Fonda and the fur traders are but distant fading memories, while Barack Obama and his Czars now have the spotlight. The focus is no longer on Uncle Henry and Aunt Em on a windblown farmstead in Kansas, but on power mongers and special interest groups on the Hill of Washington D.C. and Wall Street.

HOW AMERICA WAS LOST

In “How The West Was Won,” the country watched as the railroad slashed across the “Great Plains,” signaling the beginning and expansion of a new era. In “How America Was Lost,” the country is watching the dismantling of a democracy and the destruction of religious and human rights, signaling the end of the “Great Experiment.” Folks are not just concerned about the ending of the middle class, but about the emergence of a classless society controlled by the government through regulated and redistributed wealth. Socialism! Marxism!

According to the distinguished Viennese psychoanalyst, Victor Frankl, Germany went to Hell and the gas chambers were fixed because years before they had eliminated God from the universities. World War II, with its ocean of young men’s blood, was the result of the ousting of God and replacing Him with Hitler. Now, many fear that with the same Hitlerian deception and lies, America is watching the ousting of Christ in favor of  Obama and replacing God with Allah. As Emerson observed:

“A MAN’S ACTION IS THE PICTURE BOOK OF HIS CREED.”

We are being told by economists that America borrows 43 cents of every dollar she spends which is unsustainable, and that the economy will go over the cliff if it is not turned around. The world and the American economy looks to the most intelligent of us to be hieroglyphics. But we do sense that anything financial that defies common sense is sheer nonsense. The back door of American government spending continues not only to be gaped open but off the hinges, with nothing coming in the front door that is able to supply the national debt and deficit from such reckless and insane spending.

So the dollar continues to slide and be devalued, and the banks and credit card companies could be shut down at a moment’s notice. We are seeing inflation on its way to hyper-inflation. And we are being warned by economists that in an instant we could be told that there has been a reset of the entire financial system with no one’s money being recovered, and everyone being dependent upon a denationalized one-world government. Are you nervous about the future?

Do you know how many men and women are panicking and thinking about suicide because the economy is imploding and their businesses are lost? Is it because now they can’t figure out how they are going to make a living? Is it because they feel that they can’t do again what they did before? Or is it because unconsciously:

“THEY HAVE RAISED THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR AND THE STANDARD

OF LIVING AND SOCIAL STATUS TO THE POINT WHERE THAT

CONSTITUTES THEIR LIVES AND THEIR GOD?”

At no time in my life have I seen what I am seeing today, as the future is no longer humanity’s GOAL, but the future has become humanity’s GREMLIN. Frankly, to many folks the future has become an artillery round that is full of speed and destructive power, and what is worse, it is no longer on its way up but now is on its way down. I am now hearing people shout, “INCOMING,” and at the same time I see fewer children these days waving at trains, and less ballgames being played between middle-aged boys. As Isaiah 24:11 states will happen and already is happening,

“There is no outcry in the streets concerning the wine;

all joy turns to gloom. The gaiety of earth

is banished.”

The following words are no longer a warn out  religious cliché, but rather have now become the very oxygen of the soul:

“I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS, BUT I DO

KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE.”

Because of that conviction, God’s children do not have to hold their breath and turn blue, as is beginning to happen throughout the masses. They instead breathe easy and look up for their redemption draweth nigh.

HEAVENS GATES ARE SHINING BRIGHTER

For the Christian, the eternal future is brighter than the sun, no matter how dark the temporal future is becoming. We read about that eternal future for Christians in I Thessalonians 4:16-18,

“For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the

voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the

dead in Christ shall rise first.”

“Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together

with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and

thus we shall before be with the Lord.”

“Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.”

You see, believers in Christ are not and never have been earth-bound, but are forever heaven-bound. They have never been about time in the first place, but always about eternity. As the old hymn puts it:

“THIS WORLD IS NOT MY HOME, I AM JUST PASSING THROUGH,

MY TREASURES ARE LAID UP, SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE

BLUE; THE ANGELS BECKON ME FROM HEAVEN’S

OPEN DOOR, AND I CAN’T FEEL AT HOME IN

THIS WORLD ANYMORE.”

Jesus Christ is not a graveyard superintendent of dead and dying cultures. God the Father exhibited His risen Son for 40 days so His followers could take it in and write it down. Because He lives, we too shall live. Because He rose from the dead, we shall rise and meet the Lord in the air.

From every sign, we know that it is going to happen soon. God the Father first gave us the His SONRISE which shines the light of a living hope brighter and brighter all the way to Heaven’s gates. I see that the gates of glory are becoming bigger and brighter, for we are getting so very close. Dad and Mom, are we there yet? Maranatha!!!

So the sons and daughter of God sing, “I’ll fly away, oh Glory.” If you will:

“CHRISTIANS DO NOT JUST HAVE HANDS AND FEET, BUT

THEY HAVE WINGS WHICH THEY WILL SPROUT

AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME.”

I think I see them beginning to sprout on me now, like deer antlers beginning to show on a buck, and I am eager to make my flight Heavenward. Flight 777 is now in the  loading process!

The bottom line is that earth never has held that much for mankind since Adam and Eve gave us “Paradise Lost.” We are on our way to “Paradise Regained,” and never has human flight had such an indescribable and glorious destination.

THE PROGNOSIS FOR PLANET EARTH

But earth’s temporal future is quite another story. We hope and pray that the direction things are going in this world will be reversed. But according to the Word of God throughout, earth faces the flat out truth of God that things are getting worse, and are going to get far worse. A whole lot worse! Any preacher who tells you different is lying through his teeth. Just how bad will it become?

We read in Matthew 24:12-13 KJV the words of Jesus Christ about the signs of His near coming when He says,

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall

wax cold,”

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall

be saved.”

Where we read the words SHALL ABOUND, it means SHALL MULTIPLY. More exactly:

“INIQUITY SHALL BE CONSTANTLY MULTIPLYING.”

It does not say that iniquity shall be ADDING, and certainly not that it shall be SUBTRACTING. Rather, when it comes to sin in the world toward the end of time, we will have to get out the MULTIPLICATION TABLES AND THE CALCULATORS, for simple addition just won’t cut it. Multiplying dirty jokes! Multiplying fornication! Multiplying adultery! Multiplying homosexuality! Multiplying pornography! Multiplying dirty TV shows and filthy movies! Multiplying murder! You fill in the rest! Satan will more and more make a stew of sex and violence and dish it up in bigger and bigger servings. Compared to what he is serving up, a dish of mud will taste like gourmet cooking.

To work for Christ and the salvation of souls in this latter-day world, we will not only be cleaning out attics, but instead, we will chiefly be cleaning out sewers. But sewer rescues must be and will be our specialty, because for Jesus Christ, 99 is never enough.

Then Matthew 24:13 tells us that LOVE shall WAX COLD. TO WAX here does not refer to what is in our ears, but is Old King James for LOVE GROWING COLDER AND COLDER in the hearts of men in the last days. If you will:

“LOVE’S TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET UNTIL IT

GETS WELL BELOW FREEZING.”

Not a very tropical forecast for the climate in mankind’s hearts as we near the end of this world. Life is becoming more and more unsustainable in such a frozen and hostile environment, as earth spiritually and morally becomes the frozen planet which will make the Antarctic Circle look and feel like a Caribbean island.

I think immediately of ADULTERY and DIVORCE. Just in the last few days I have talked to a precious young couple who will soon be married. They were brought up in unregenerate families, and are not yet believers themselves. The prospective bride’s father was divorced and remarried, and her step-brother has been divorced three times. The groom’s parents are divorced, and several of his siblings have gone through divorces as well. They live in a divorce culture, and talk about divorce as if it is no more than a hiccup. In their case, ongoing, unstoppable hiccuping! Abounding adultery that only increases, and frozen love that will not thaw.

In this same short period of time, I have talked to a wife and mother who was brought up in a believing and godly family. So were her children! Her daughter’s husband, after thirty plus years of marriage, is now having an affair with a woman in another city, and is pursuing divorce and marriage to that woman who is herself a divorcee. The wife and mother’s daughter’s daughter, i.e. her granddaughter, was divorced by her husband who is living across the street from his ex-wife with another woman who is a divorcee. The mother/grandmother remarks that she cannot believe what is happening in her family. Rampant adultery and sub-zero love.

And then of course, in the world, the children of godless homes, divorced parents, and broken families, begin to look to a spiritually and morally degenerate society for substitute families where they think they can find that elusive love and sense of value and belonging. The prevailing culture has all kinds of replacement families readily available, and all fathered by the devil – the drug culture, the sex culture, the booze culture, the prostitution culture, the gang culture, the pornography culture etc. etc.

And as the children of these godless, loveless, broken families sink into the hellish underworld, some never to be heard of again, parents continue to build their monuments to parental bankruptcy spiritually and morally. It could not be more horrific even if they had the imagination of a Stephen King.

Hear me:

“WHEN MARRIAGE AND FAMILY GO DOWN THE TUBES,

SOCIETY WILL ALWAYS GO DOWN WITH IT.”

The Lord tells us in His Word in no uncertain terms about marital and family brokenness, that when the hearts of the children are turned against the fathers (parents), and the hearts of the fathers (parents) are turned against the children, God smites the land with a curse. (Malachi 4:6) And there is no society on earth that will survive God’s curse.

No, it is not getting better, but it is getting worse by the day. The world’s prognosis is not good. Why? Marriage and family are God’s great capstones to His creation. Now Satan is decapitating marriages and families at a pandemic rate, which marriages then collapse into the frozen abysses of the divorce courts of the world.

As I watch and listen, I see and hear the miserable sights and nasty sounds of a divorcing and disintegrating world! Do you see and hear it too? I surely can:

“THE CLATTERING NOISE OF THE HOMES AND MARRIAGES IN THE

WORLD AROUND ME, SOUNDING NOW LIKE THOUSANDS OF

METAL, ARMORED RATS FIGHTING IN THE GRAVEL OF

THE ROAD RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.”

That devastating, deadly clanking and grinding sound of marital wars and family deaths, we are now told, can be heard about 10,000 times (divorces) every single day in our world in which grooms become goons and brides become bridezillas. No world and no society can survive having its heart cut out and its head cut off.

And one of the main reasons that modern marriages have become war zones is because today’s society teaches that:

“WE MUST STAND UP FOR OURSELVES,”

when all along Jesus Christ teaches us that:

“WE MUST LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR EACH OTHER.”

It doesn’t work any other way, as we read in Ephesians 4:25,

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church

and gave Himself up for her.”

You and I are living, as Gabriel Marcel put it:

“IN AN AGE WITHOUT PRECEDENT.”

People today, in the church and outside of the church, hand out divorce papers like parking tickets. At the same time presumptively they give themselves clearance for arrival one day at their heavenly home, when all the while they turned their earthly homes into living hells.

No one drags their loving and faithful spouse into divorce court without one day soon giving an account of their marital massacre and domestic destruction in the Court of Heaven. Adulterating and divorcing spouses in the church and in the world should be very nervous and biting their nails, and when they are down to the nub, they should start on their toes. Why?

We read in Malachi 2:14-17,

“Yet you say, ‘For what reason?’ Because the Lord has been a

witness between you and the wife of your youth, against

whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your

companion and your wife by covenant.”

“But no one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And

what did that one do while he was seeking a godly offspring?

Take heed then, to your spirit, and let no deal treacherously

against the wife of your youth.”

“”‘For I hate divorce,’ says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘and him

who covers his garment with wrong’ says the Lord of hosts.

‘So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal

treacherously.'”

“Your have wearied the Lord with your word. Yet you say, ‘How

have we wearied Him?’ In that you say, “Everyone who does

evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in

them,’ or, ‘Where is the God of justice?'”

A brief but to the point explanation is in order here. God is saying, “I was a witness when you spoke your marriage vows to Me and to each other. Now you are dealing treacherously by divorcing and dumping each other. By treacherous, I mean you a traitor to Me and each other, and  I don’t trust you anymore, because you broke you sacred, covenant trust……No one who even has a small part of the Holy Spirit does such a thing…..I hate divorce, and I hate those who are doing the divorcing. You treacherous traitors are wearing Me out, even more so by your saying that those who do this treacherous evil called divorce are good in the sight of the Lord, and that they are God’s delight. Not only that, but you are saying that the God of justice won’t exact justice on the divorcing traitors, which for Me the Lord God of justice is the last straw.”

My word to us is:

“GOD WILL NOT TAKE THE TRAITOR’S WORD FOR IT. THE GOD

OF JUSTICE WILL TAKE HIS OWN WORD FOR IT, AND HE

WILL COME IN JUDGMENT VERY SOON.”

Hear it:

“GOD DOES NOT GRADE ON THE CURVE. HE MAKES OUT A

VERY SPECIAL TEST FOR EACH OF US, AND PART OF THE

OVERALL EXAM IS THE MARRIAGE SECTION. AND THE

QUESTION THAT MEN WILL GO UP OR GO DOWN ON

REQUIRES A ONE-WORD ANSWER, ‘YES OR NO,

DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT DO WHAT I

COMMANDED YOU? YOU SAID, ‘I

DO’ AND YOU DIDN’T.”

He that endures, that is, does not become a metal-armored, married-divorced rat himself in the rat race of modern existence, but remains true to the Lord and true to his vows, shall be saved. And the great good news in the midst of all of the bad is this:

“FOR GOD’S CHILDREN, THE INCREASING NOISY DIN OF DIVORCE

IN THIS LAST DAYS’ DANGEROUS SOCIETY, IS THE SIGNAL

THAT THE FAITHFUL CHRIST IS SOON COMING FOR HIS

FAITHFUL BRIDE. HALLELUJAH!”

Finally and forever, marriage will have realized its purpose and perfection, as Christ the Heavenly Bridegroom and His Bride the redeemed and glorified Church shall live out their perfect covenantal vows and love forever. The marital capstone of the new Heaven and new earth will stand forever, and God shall have the final marital pronouncement:

“WHAT I HAVE JOINED TOGETHER,  NO ONE SHALL PART ASUNDER

EVER AGAIN.”

THE PROGNOSIS FOR AMERICA

Need I remind us of Proverbs 27:1, where we read the well known words:

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what

a day may bring forth?”

And again, James 4:14,

“You do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You

are just a vapor that appears for a little while and

then vanishes away.”

Who knows what a day may bring? God has put obscurities between us and the nearest futures. If you will:

“THERE IS ALWAYS NIGHT BETWEEN US AND THE VERY NEXT DAY.”

It has been said that had the hosts of fallen angels before their sin foreseen what would follow their sin, we cannot but realistically reason that the foresight of their fallen state and eternal misery in Hell well might have kept them from their sin in the first place. So too if America, before she outlawed God and declared His Word X-rated, could have foreseen what will happen to her as a result of her iniquity, she too may been kept from her anti-God posture and unrestrained sins in the first place.

But there is a really big problem here, now that we are talking about the fallen angels. And the problem is this, that when the devil was consulted by Eve concerning future events, as if the devil should be consulted about anything, he, as he always does, gave her doubt-casting and contrary answers which for Eve verbally and slyly in her mind turned death into life, and turned Hell into Heaven.

Remember how it went? Sure you do! We read in Genesis 2:2-3,

Then we read Satan’s manipulative answer to Eve in Genesis 2:4-5,

“And the serpent said to the woman, ‘You surely shall not die!’

‘For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes

will be opened, and you will be like God,

knowing good and evil.”

Then we read in Genesis 2:6,

Satan does it to everyone with his salvos and evasions, and he is doing it to America as she believes his lies of the separation of church and state, which really is the separation of God from society, and in so doing is confident of her godless future.  Where now is she headed? What does the future hold for her?

The Bible is full of strong prophetic warnings about nations that once served the Lord and then turned their backs on Him. Yes, strong prophetic warnings against a nation in which Jesus Christ used to make headlines, but now He has been squeezed into the obituary column, as Christmas is now called yuletide, and Easter is called the beginning of spring.

As one has put it:

“THE FAITH OF OUR FATHER MADE THIS COUNTRY, AND

THE FAITHLESSNESS OF OUR CHILDREN WILL

BREAK THIS COUNTRY.”

For instance, do you know the reason why God overthrew the people of Judah? It is significant to note that the super power in the world at that time was the nation of the Assyrians, who had overthrown Israel roughly 100 years earlier. But as with all pagan powers, the Assyrians were eventually overthrown and their capital Nineveh, that great and evil city, fell to the next great super power – the Babylonian Empire.

Now here comes the Babylonians against the Judahites. They came against a nation in which Josiah was king, and in which Jeremiah became God’s prophet. It is all so very sad and so terribly tragic. Not sad that the people of Judah couldn’t remember what had happened to the backslidden and idolatrous Israelites to the north who were pummeled by the Assyrians a mere century earlier. No, they remembered alright, but they believed that it had no relevance to them, and that it could never happen to them. That is always the case! The lessons of history are not easily learned but are easily forgotten.

King Josiah of Judah was a good and godly king. In his reign, the Law of Moses was rediscovered, which Law had been lost and ignored for many years. Just exactly what has happened in another country I know where the laws of God have been banned and ignored for many years now. Good King Josiah established rules and issued decrees that in essence mandated:

“DOWN WITH THE IDOLS, UP WITH GOD’S LAWS AND

GOD’S WAYS OF LIVING.”

We read about this in II Kings 23:3-4 selectively:

“And the King stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord

to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments and

His statutes with all his heart….”

“Then the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priest of the

second order and the doorkeepers to bring out of the temple of the

Lord all the vessels that were made for Baal, for Asherah…and

He burned them outside Jerusalem….”

King Josiah did the best he could in apostate and corrupted Judah, but then he died and it turned out to be a temporary and superficial revival of godliness and righteousness. The hearts of the people were still into carnality and idolatry, into the false gods, and into the false exalting of the things of man and the fleshly desires of their hearts. In short, the revival died out, much like the “Moral Majority” and the “Religious Right” revivals died away in America after the deaths of good men like Jerry Falwell and James Kennedy. America now defies God, denounces prayers to Him, and throws away His laws. King Josiah’s post-death Judah revisited.

So God destroyed Judah and caused her to go into Babylonian captivity. Not before the prophet Jeremiah was given as his mission in life by the Lord to tell the entire nation, when it didn’t want to hear from God anymore, that it is doomed and on the threshold of being a dying nation only to be buried in exile.

Can you imagine being called to that kind of position in your own nation, where you have to tell them what’s wrong with them, wherein they have sinned, and that they are headed for certain destruction? And that from the north will come a federation of foreign troops that will overwhelm them, and everything that they now think of as being stable, and that they assumed would be there all of their tomorrows, will be overthrown and destroyed!

By the way, the people of Judah tried to silence God’s prophet by throwing him into prison and also down into a mud pit, as we read in Jeremiah 3:15,

“Then the officials were angry at Jeremiah and beat Him,

and they put him in jail….”

And Jeremiah 38:6,

“Then they took Jeremiah and cast him into the cistern….”

It is happening and much worse to God’s preachers around the world today, and it will soon be happening in a country near you.

I recall some years ago when Ted Koppel, the then commentator on ABC, gave a commencement address and stunned his audience by saying:

“YOU KNOW, THE 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT 10 SUGGESTIONS.”

The audience was totally silent. Either the audience today will be silent, or the audience will silence the faithful preacher, or both. The latter is now coming more and more into vogue.

And then it all erupted so quickly even as Jeremiah had prophesied. Who knows, maybe they were all minding their own business, drinking beer and talking politics as usual? Suddenly they were being dragged away from all that they knew and held dear, as shocked emotion drained the color from their now pale faces, and then numbed and teary-eyed, their entire world flies apart into a frightening and out-of-control orbit.

See them being dragged away from their homes and their homeland. They were instant exiles. Do you know what it means to be an exile and to be in exile? Some of you precious Jewish people in Israel who regularly read Whole Truth Help may know what it means first hand, or for sure your ancestors did. Listen:

“EXILE IN HEBREW COMES FROM A ROOT WORD WHICH

MEANS STRIPPED NAKED.”

In the days of ancient Judah, it was common when one country defeated another, to strip naked the men and women of that nation and to tie them with ropes and lead them off into exile. Absolute humiliation and disgrace!

Lost in Babylon was like being lost in space! Absolutely everything that they knew, loved, and held dear was gone, just like that! It was a terrifying and surreal world that they now found themselves in. It was not the first time that this has happened in the world, and it was not to be the last time either.

Whether judgment and punishment will come from within or from without, he that has an ear, let him hear what the Lord is saying to the rebellious, apostate, lawless. idolatrous, morally rotting, and God-defying United States of America. (Anyone who scorns such notions does not believe in the Bible, and scorns the warnings of God’s Word.)

THE PROGNOSIS FOR GOD’S PEOPLE

It couldn’t be better!!! Not that they will not have to go through tough times, for He told us that we shall have tribulation. But the Lord has His people totally covered, including their past, their present, and their future, and there is no better coverage in all of the world! The Psalmist says in Psalm 139:5-6,

“Thou (O Lord) hast enclosed me behind and before,

and laid Thy hand upon me,”

“Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is too high,

I cannot attain unto it.”

Whatever lurks in the shadows of the past cannot harm us, and whatever lurks in shadows of the future cannot touch us. God protects our rear and our front! He’s got our backs and our chests, and our yesterdays and our tomorrows all taken care of for us by our ever-past, ever-present, and ever-future God – the One Who was, Who Is, and Who is to come. He knows perfectly where we are coming from, and He knows perfectly where we are going, and His hand is upon us backwards and forwards. If you will:

“GOD HAS US COVERED WHETHER WE ARE COMING  OR GOING.”

And when things look dark ahead, I realize that it is all light to Him, for He goes on to tell us in Psalm 139: 11-12,

Is God playing words games with us here? Is He trying to be clever? No, God does not put us on or off about anything. Rather, He is keeping us in the light about what appears dark. He tells us that what appears darkness to us is really daylight to Him. So that He will not allow anything or anyone to sneak up on us or on Him in the dark. No wonder then that future of God’s children is so very bright, for everything up ahead is all light and no darkness to Him, all Sonshine and no sunset.

Whether it is today, ten days from today, or ten years from today, it is all in the Lord’s hands and so are we. That is why we are not only hopeful about the future, but we are confident about the future as well. That is why Christians do not bite their nails, ring their hands, or wipe nervous sweat off from their furrowed brows. Hear me:

“WE ARE NOT TO LIVE IN SENTIMENTALITY OR REGRET ABOUT

THE PAST, AND WE ARE NOT TO LIVE IN APPREHENSION OR

NERVOUSNESS ABOUT THE FUTURE, BUT PRESENTLY

FOLLOWING JESUS INTO THE HARVEST FIELDS

WITH JOY AND HOPE IN OUR HEARTS

UNTIL HE TAKES US TO GLORY.”

Hear me again:

“EVEN AS WE ARE NOT TO TAKE OUR WORK HOME WITH

US, SO WE ARE NOT TO TAKE ANY WORRIES

INTO THE FUTURE WITH US.”

For:

“HIS HAND IS UP0N US.” (Psalm 139:5)

CONCLUSION

Listen to me friend, you may have botched the first quarter of your life. You may have botched the first half of your life. You may have botched the first three quarters of your life. And you wonder, “What can I do about them?” The answer is, “Nothing, except give them to Christ, who will wash them away and forgive you completely for them.” Learn this now and believe it:

“CHRIST DEALS IN GLORIOUS FUTURES, NOT IN DISMAL PASTS. THE

ONLY REASON HE WAS INTERESTED IN MY PAST AND YOUR

PAST WAS TO FORGIVE IT, AND THEN GIVE US A

GLORIOUS ETERNAL FUTURE IN HIMSELF.”

Won’t you receive it today by receiving Him into your heart and life? God bless you now and forevermore! Then you too will find that a Christian is no premature victim of the death wish, and from now until eternity, you will throw himself into the Christ-life for all that you are worth.

But frankly, and please forgive me if you must, but I have to say:

“HEAVEN BECKONS ME, AND I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO GO.”
