The Corona Virus And God Pt. 1

Please read Psalm 39 and ask the Lord to reveal it to you and speak to your heart. God has a word for us in this trying time.

Conundrums, crises, and catastrophes 😨 happen in this world that leave people speechless, numbed, and stunned! An eerie angst grips society as people react in disbelief, anger, and panic. They don’t understand and they can’t control a thing. Life suddenly becomes like people unable to swim flailing to stay afloat and keep their faces above water.

King David found himself in the throes of such a severity. Whatever it was, it was so shocking and paralyzing, he says to God in Psalm139:9,

“I WAS DUMB, I OPENED NOT MY MOUTH. BECAUSE YOU DID IT!”

Can you feel that and identify with that in your life? He says to the Lord:

1. I was dumbfounded (numbed mind – unable to think – paralysis of analysis).
2. I was speechless (mute – unable to speak – tongue tied).

Neither of those conditions are anywhere near natural to man! We think we have all the answers, and we always have something to say.

Frankly, David is in a state of a conscious coma! Mentally paralyzed – unable to make sense out of anything. Orally gagged – unable to express his pain. He could not think it through, and he could not talk it out!

It feels like someone poured cement into your head, and it feels like a volleyball is stuck in your throat! Not only are you unable to think or speak, you are barely able to breathe.

Have your ever been there yourself, or tried to help someone else who was there? Mentally totally unreachable, and verbally totally non-communicative. No Scripture you read, and no word you spoke went anywhere or helped one bit! In fact, you felt that you only made it worse! 😵

CORONA VIRUS ATTACKS THE GLOBE 🌎

CORONA WHO??? When I first heard 👂 of it, I thought they were talking about a new car 🚗 model. Like CORONA LE.

Then I listened more closely, and understood that it is an exotic disease in China. Too bad, but something that far away doesn’t concern us, even though we were told that the Chinese were dying from it.

Then we discovered that this is not regional or even national, it is international! This is not an EPIDEMIC, it is PANDEMIC! EPI means UPON, PAN means ALL! No country is exempt, for the virus recognizes no borders. It is an equal opportunity killer!

DEMIC means RARE or INCOMPARABLE. A global, fearful, catastrophic mystery. Even the so-called experts find themselves stumbling over their words. We have never seen anything like this! EBOLA mainly in West Africa was an EPIDEMIC and killed over 11,000 people. CORONA VIRUS has already killed more worldwide.

Before we could assess it, 100s of 1000s are getting sick, and 10s of 1000s are dying. GLOBALLY! A WORLDWIDE pestilence is not only killing men, it is threatening humanity! 700 people in Italy alone died in 24 hours. So it goes across the globe. People are dying world wide, and the numbers increase by the hour.🌎.

Before we could learn to spell it let alone speak it – CORONA-VIRUS – schools are closed, shops are shut, factories are inoperative, sports are cancelled, and streets are empty 😱. It is like something from a doomsday movie, only it is not Hollywood, it is 👻 spooky reality!

Self-imposed quarantine if not government ordered quarantine becomes the law of your nation or state! It is as contagious as a California forest fire🔥blown by the Santa Ana winds!

CORONA VIRUS! VIRUS comes from the Latin word for VENOM, which infects and kills! An infesting vermin that mysteriously and universally sickens and kills people everywhere.

CORONA means at its root CROWN 👑. Medical researchers chose the word because the virus appears under the microscope like the gases that surround the sun like a CROWN. We give names to natural and physical calamities, because somehow calling them by name lessons the threat! We at least know them on a first name basis!

THE BIBLE AND PANDEMICS

The Word of God in Revelation 6 talks about 4 AWFUL, TERRIFYING HORSES AND HORSEMEN OF THE END TIMES. PLEASE read and study this equine apocalypse on your own.

Suddenly the world is hearing hoof beats -the galloping hooves of a PALE GREEN HORSE OF DISEASE AND DEATH! Someone has let that horse out of the corral of history! It is on the run and wild. It’s breath sprays droplets that are infectious and 3 times more contagious than colds and flu! The world has never seen a horse like this horse! Not even close.

This is an end times breed of horse whose hoof beats will be heard all over the world 🌎. It will be one of a four-horse-stampede 🐎 signaling the return of Christ and eternal judgement. This is not a rodeo, this is a reckoning!

Jesus in Luke 21:26 talks exactly about these times,

“WHEN MEN’S HEARTS SHALL FAIL THEM BECAUSE OF FEAR…”

He is talking about THE NUMBER ONE KILLER OF THE END TIMES – FEAR ATTACKS AND HEART ATTACKS. Germaphobia – Coronaphobia causing men’s hearts to call it quits.

Oh you say, people die of heart attacks every day across the earth. So what? No, this is not heart disease, this is not heart attacks, this is not congestive heart failure. This is CORONARY FEAR FATALITY like the world has never ever seen!

FEAR – The exact opposite of what God commands His people. God makes a glorious promise to His children in Psalm 91:3,

“HE SHALL DELIVER THEM FROM THE DEADLY PESTILENCE.”

He doesn’t specify what PESTS. The promise is all inclusive! Seen or unseen pests, God will deliver his people from them! He is the ALMIGHTY, FEARFUL, EXTERMINATOR! As with His people in the Land of Goshen, the 10 plagues that came upon Egypt did not afflict the Israelites. Lice, vermin, pests upon man and beasts were never seen in Goshen! God is Who He says He is, and God does what He says He will do! This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our FAITH!

Then He commands us in Psalm 91:5,

“THOU SHALT NOT BE AFRAID 😨!”

Fear 😱 is the contradiction of faith! Fear focuses upon the enemy, but faith focuses on God. If God be for us, who or what can be against us?

So now we have three results:

1. Minds numbed.
2. Mouths muted.
3. Hearts failed.

Jesus is not talking about the poetic or romantic heart, but is in fact talking about the physical machine in our chests. So out of paralyzing fear 😱 of the CORONA – CORONARY heart attacks will take men’s lives. It appears that this is not just a word similarity. These words are connected by arteries of truth flowing through the Bible.

Jesus in Matthew 24 calls it:

“THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS.”

It has started! The world wide weeping has begun! Italy does not have enough caskets and grave lots. The bodies are already beginning to pile up. Mourners will have to grieve at mass burial trenches. We mourn with those who mourn! Obituaries lengthen as God speaks!

THE 🌎 WORLD’S DEFLECTIONS

You can hear 👂 them any day of the week, but particularly as things in life go south. Here are just a few:

-That’s the way the ball bounces.
-It’s the luck of the draw.
-Got out of the wrong side of the bed.
-Bad happens (cleaned up version).
-Whatever will be, will be.
-Your luck is bound to change.
-Just bad timing is all.
-You just can’t win ’em all
-Keep a stuff upper lip.
-Life just isn’t fair.
-Tomorrow is a new day.
-Some have it, some don’t.
-Keep looking up partner.
-It all depends on the 🌟 stars.
-Try to stay positive.
-This will pass. (And it has, all over the world)

When it comes right down to it none of that suffices, for they are more like bandaids for a hemorrhage! They certainly don’t apply when we are dealing with a global tsunami! How can luck be this bad everywhere, and how can everyone in the world get out of the wrong side of the bed at the same time? It takes more faith to believe in luck, be it good or bad, than to believe in God.

There is no luck or chance with God! God has no accidents! You will never hear God say, “Whoops.” We read in Matthew 10:29,

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny, and not one falls to the ground without the will of your Father!”

So much for the sparrow🐦 flying out of the wrong side the nest! So much for the luck of the Irish! No one falls from CORONA VIRUS without the will of the Father either.

Does God ever afflict and punish the whole world all at once! Oh my does He ever! He destroyed the entire world with a flood. He drowned every one save 8! He gave the world 120 years to repent! Noah preached himself hoarse, and no one paid attention. You know how people feel about those fire 🔥 and judgment preachers!

DAVID’S RESPONSE

David says in Psalm 39:9,

“I WAS DUMB, I OPENED NOT MY MOUTH, BECAUSE YOU DID IT.”

Whatever David was facing, it was not bad luck, it was not a bad accident, it was not a bad day! –

“BECAUSE GOD YOU ARE IN CONTROL, IT WAS YOUR DOING!”

-I DON’T UNDERSTAND IT!
-IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!
-I CAN’T FIGURE IT OUT!
-MY HEAD IS SPINNING!
-MY HEART IS BROKEN!
-I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!
-BUT YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING!
-YOU ARE GOD, I AM NOT!

At the beginning of the Psalm, David says,

“I WILL LOOK AFTER MY WAYS.”

-I will not make you account for Your ways God.
-I have no control over Your ways.
-I cannot figure Your ways out.
-I can only control my ways and do and say what is pleasing to You!

In fact, so far are God’s ways above his ways, that he says to God in Psalm 39:12,

“I AM A STRANGER WITH YOU…. ”

-You and I don’t think alike at all!
-We are not on the same page so much of the time! (Have you ever been there?)
-In fact God, it is difficult to read your page!
-Sometimes it seems like You write with invisible ink on pages that have no edges!
-Sometimes I think that I don’t know You at all.
-It seems at times Lord that we don’t speak the same language.

BECAUSE YOU DID IT

The following can be found in II Samuel 12.

King 👑 David was approached by Nathan the prophet, who in essence told him that because he stole Bathsheba to be his wife, and killed her husband Uriah, the baby he had with Bathsheba would die.

Well what does this have to do with CORONA VIRUS AND THE WORLD? EVERYTHING! Come now, admit it, when you had your first child, that child was your world!

David went outside, fell in the dirt, and wept for 7 days. As far as we know, he ate nothing and drank nothing for that period of time. The tears continued to pour forth, as he pleaded with God to spare the child. His servants tried to make him eat and drink, but he would have none of it, as the tears and dirt became mud on his face.

After 7 days the sick unto death child died. GOD SICKENED AND KILLED THE THE CHILD BECAUSE OF DAVID’S appalling sins of adultery and murder. He said He would do it and He did it!

God told us in Revelation 6 that He would unleash, or should I say unbridle, a ghoulish green horse of sickness and death upon the world 🌎 because of the awful wickedness of mankind!

I often wondered when the horse would be sent forth. The sadness is that people do not take God or His Word seriously. They think the Bible writers are just horsing around!
