This picture is just one way of stating it – “The Age of Holy Babble.” It caught my eye. I hope that it catches yours. So much of what is being taught in religion these days sounds holy, but it really is nothing more than “Holy Babble.” It surely is not the “Holy Bible.”

Other ways of stating the same reality are “The Age of Contrived Religion”– “The Age of Invented Religion” – “The Age of Manufactured Religion” – and as in the title of this critically urgent teaching series – “The Age of Fabricated Religion.”

“The Age of Religious Fabrication” is rampant not only, but there are so many species of this same genus. Such as “The Age of Accommodating Religion” – “The Age of Adjustable Religion” – “The Age of Customized Religion” – “The Age of Preferred Religion.” And so the “Made-To-Order Religion” of these end times presents a smorgasbord of selective spirituality and morality all depending upon your own subjective requirements and tastes.

And what makes it even more deceptive and dangerous in the determination of religious validity or invalidity, truth or falsehood, is that this modern potpourri of invented and fabricated religion all takes place under the same heading – “Christianity.” In other words, we are living in an unprecedented age of many brands of:

“FABRICATED CHRISTIANITY.”

This is what we will be chiefly dealing with and breaking it all down into several critically important issues in this series. Today we will be confronting:

“The Fabrication of Christian Homosexuality.”

PRESSING QUESTIONS

How often have I had family and friends ask me the question, “How can people believe and support and live such sinfulness and yet call themselves Christians?” In fact, it has become more relevant than ever in this presidential election year, and I am asked over and over and rightly so, “How can people claim to be Christian, and yet campaign for and vote for Barack Obama who is an advocate for abortion and perversion as no other president has been in the history of the United States?”

Very pressing and right-on questions that must be asked and must be answered! And so we shall try by the Word of God and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit to come to grips with something the likes of which has never been seen before, not only in the political arena, but in the religious arena and yes, in the “Christian Arena” in huge proportions.

It is a most treacherous day in which so many can lose their way amidst the deceptions and fabrications that abound, not only in society, but in the church. We hear the words of the Apostle Paul in II Timothy 3:1, 4, 5 KJV,

“This know also, that in the last days perilous (dangerous)

times will come,”

“for men shall be lovers of pleasure more than lovers

of God,”

“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power

thereof, FROM SUCH MEN TURN AWAY.”

On the last weekend in September 2012, when California Governor Jerry Brown signed SB 1172 into law, he boasted that “change therapy” (for homosexuals) will now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery. The new law requires minors to receive and counselors to provide only one view on same-sex attractions. And that view is that same-sex attractions are healthy, and that any attempt to reduce or eliminate them is unethical. Unbelievable!!!

Dangerous days indeed! Who can we trust anymore for the unvarnished and undiluted and untampered-with truth? Where can we go in these treacherous days to find the “Holy Bible” and get away from “Holy Babble,” so that we don’t have to cover our children’s ears in church? For not only are the political world and the educational world, but now the church world as well conspiring to make our children believe lies.

To quote Warden Norton in “Shawshank Redemption“:

“THIS IS A CONSPIRACY. THIS IS WHAT THIS IS.”

THE FABRICATION OF CHRISTIAN HOMOSEXUALITY

We might just as well start here as any place, for exactly here is one of the most deceptive and deadly examples of modern “Fabricated Christianity.” There are many “Religious Fabrication Factories” called churches today when it comes to the world of “Gay Christians” and “Gays for Christ.” Some of the better known are “The Episcopalian Church” – “The Presbyterian Church USA” – “The United Methodist Church” – “Independent Churches” – and “Christians” of various denominational affiliations who believe and teach that both they and the gay community can be and in many instances are born again Christians.

I can’t believe that I am writing those names, and I am sure that I have missed some. It is almost unreal to me. How could all of this have happened so fast? It is like someone receiving a head wound at Pearl Harbor and waking up in 1950 to be told and shown the decimation of what had happened while he was gone. I feel that way in 2012.

ABOUT TRUTH AND LIES

Now then more specifically, what about homosexuals and lesbians and their religious supporters who believe that this “Fabricated Christianity” of “Gays for Christ” is in fact “True Christianity?” How does this happen, and how are we to understand this seeing that Paul tells us in II Corinthians 6:9-10 in no uncertain terms,

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit

the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither

fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor

effeminate, not homosexuals,

“nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkard, not revilers,

nor swindlers, shall inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Well now, it is obvious that Christianity and Homosexuality are antithetical, and to say that they are even slightly compatible is a bold-faced lie.

Now here are some givens about truth and lies that we must get deep into ourselves, so that right at the outset we will be on the right track and not on the wrong track of fabricated thinking which is so rampant.

FIRST:

“A LIE CANNOT BE BELIEVED AS TRUTH EXCEPT IT

BE MADE TO APPEAR AS TRUTH.”

This is key to even begin to understand at the outset what is going on. “Professing Christian Gays” and “Professing Christians Gay Advocates” can only believe the lie that homosexuals and lesbians can be Christians, if that lie be made to appear as truth. To pull that off is no task for amateurs! It takes something and someone with powers of deception and delusion way beyond any human capability of TRUTHIZING THE FALSE.

SECOND, and this next fact follows from the first fact:

“A LIE CANNOT GIVE ITSELF ANY SUCH APPEARANCE

OF TRUTH, ANY MORE THAN ANYTHING TRULY

BITTER TO THE TASTE CAN BY ITSELF MAKE

ITSELF TASTE SWEET.”

So then, if a man believes a lie to be truth, it is not that the truth is in the lie, or that the lie makes itself look like truth. Listen to this:

“UNTRUTH BY ITSELF IS SKIN DEEP, BUT TRUTH GOES DOWN DEEP

INTO THE MARROW OF THE BONE.”

So then, if a lie appears as truth, it is from something else abnormally powerful in man and beyond man that pulls off this transformation of untruth into truth.

Well now, what then or who is pulling off this lie masquerading as truth? Who or what is fabricating the ugly to appear beautiful, the wretched to appear wonderful, the vomitous to taste delicious, the devilish to appear Divine, and the hellish to appear Heavenly? Who or what is behind these fabrications of FALSE TRUTH? That is the question we must answer and come to a strong understanding of if we are to realize just exactly what we are dealing with.

SIN ITSELF IS BEHIND THE FABRICATION OF CHRISTIAN HOMOSEXUALITY

For you see, sin is pleasurable! God says so! The Bible put it this way in Hebrews 11:25, where Christians who remained true to the Lord while enduring great persecution are described in this way,

“Choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people

of God, than to enjoy the PLEASURES OF

SIN FOR A SEASON.”

They could have avoided persecution and even martyrdom if they would have joined the world in their sinful pleasures and become one with them in sin. But they instead refused the pleasures of sin for a season, and were therefore tortured and brutalized.

It is the phrase THE PLEASURES OF SIN that becomes our focus. The following modern paraphrases of this indicate how sinful pleasures can trick the mind and fabricate themselves into goodness:

“IF IT FEELS GOOD, DO IT.”

And:

“ANYTHING THAT FEELS THAT GOOD CANNOT

BE BAD.”

When a man or a woman enter into sexual sin, whether it be fornication, or adultery, or homosexuality, there are strong pleasures, albeit very sin-sick and even perverted pleasures, yet very strong pleasures nonetheless. When that happens, and the longer a man or a woman stays in the pleasure of sin, here is the result:

“SIN’S PLEASURES PUT A VERY STRONG FAVORABLE BIAS

ON MAN’S MIND, EMOTIONS, AND CONSCIENCE

TOWARD SIN.”

If you will:

“SIN HAS THE POWER TO FABRICATE ITSELF

AS BEING VERY, VERY GOOD.”

For you see:

“SIN, WHICH IS DARKNESS, BY ITS STRONG, MOMENTARY

PEASURABLENESS, SHINES UPON ITSELF A

VERY FAVORABLE LIGHT.”

That is exactly why the Lord Jesus warns us in Luke 11:35,

“Then watch out that the light in you may

not be darkness.”

This all explains for instance why too many times in my ministry I have dealt with husbands and wives who are committing adultery and having an ongoing affair, and they not only call it good, but they have said to me:

“I BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS SENT THIS PERSON

INTO MY LIFE AND HE OR SHE FEELS

THE SAME WAY.”

At that point sin has cast its spell, worked its black magic, and the result is we have a classic example of FABRICATED CHRISTIANITY. I have lost too many marriages to sin’s ability to flim-flam husbands and wives into GOOD AND GOD-SPONSORED SIN. I have had a devil of a time coming against sin’s delusion when it reaches that point.

So too then, when a homosexual calls himself a Christian, he means not only that he believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, but that homosexuality is not a sin that Jesus died for or that he has been saved from. How come? Because:

“SIN ITSELF HAS THE POWER TO TURN THE VULGAR

INTO A VIRTUE IN A MAN’S MIND.”

Frankly, homosexuality and lesbianism suggest to me eating a plate filled with human dung, but to the “Christian Gay” it looks like a delicious plate of sex stew that has been provided by God.

Are you getting this? To help us, we must realize two important Bible truths about all of this:

NUMBER ONE:

We are told for strong reasons what Paul says to us in I Corinthians 9:27,

“But I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest

possibly after I have preached to others, I

myself should be disqualified.”

Strong language! Make your body your slave! Fact:

“EITHER YOUR BODY WILL MAKE YOU ITS SLAVE, OR YOU

WILL MAKE YOUR BODY YOUR SLAVE.“

If you will, we must be vigilant to keep our bodies under subjection, for if we don’t, they will bring us under subjection. Always! Just ask the obese person who is in control of whom? On second thought, I have learned to give advice person to person only when it is asked for in matters like these.

Now more to the point. Fact:

“THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN PUT THE HEART AND

CONSCIENCE OF MAN INTO A STUPOR LIKE THE

GRATIFICATION OF THE LUSTS OF THE FLESH.”

This has played itself out throughout history. I mean, what chance does a super-hormonal freshman on a wild, drunken Saturday night in the university coed-dorm have of retaining his or her virginity?

And in the case of the homosexuals of Sodom, it must be observed, for it is too obvious not to:

“THE GAYS OF SODOM WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN STRICKEN WITH

BLINDNESS BY THE TWO ANGELS, HAD NOT THEIR

PERVERTED LUST STRICKEN THEM WITH MORAL

AND SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS FIRST.”

And in another context, the case of none other than Herod and John the Baptist:

“HEROD WOULD NOT HAVE MURDERED JOHN HAD NOT

LUST FIRST OF ALL MURDERED HIS CONSCIENCE.”

Amazingly appalling but very real. Herod made a religion out of a sex-crazed oath only to reward the sensual lap-dance of a teenage siren.

Or again Hosea 4:11,

“Whoredom and wine and new wine take away

the heart.”

NUMBER TWO:

Here is important truth number two:

“SIN, AND PARTICULARLY THE CUSTOM OF SINNING,

NOT ONLY TAKES WAY THE SENSE OF SIN,

BUT THE VERY APPEARANCE OF SIN.”

That is to say, the pleasurableness of sin turns not only the sense of evil into the sense of good, but it turns the sight of sin into the sight of good. Shazaam! Hear it:

“SIN’S PLEASURE MAY CLOSE THE EYE OF THE CONSCIENCE

TO EVIL, BUT THE REPEATED PLEASURABLENESS OF SIN

WILL TAKE THE EYE OF THE CONSCIENCE OUT.”

Thus it is that we read a warning like we do in the Bible, such as Jeremiah 13:23,

“Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard

his spots? THEN YOU CAN ALSO DO

GOOD WHO ARE ACCUSTOMED

TO EVIL?”

SATAN HIMSELF IS BEHIND THE FABRICATION OF CHRISTIAN HOMOSEXUALITY

I have maintained throughout my life and ministry that homosexuality and lesbianism are demonically charged with the fires of Hell. Of course, Satan will plead total innocence in either case, and in fact, will charge God Himself with the existence of perversion.

We all know by now the lies that the “Father of Lies” has woven around the issue, such as:
1. Homosexuals are born that way and are only being themselves. They have no choice.
2. Homosexuals have a unique gene that predisposes them to same-sex desires.
3. God created homosexuality and called it good.
4. Jesus was a homosexual and had homosexual relationship with His disciples.

But Satan’s strategies go way beyond his being the Master of Lies. In fact, he has the powers to be and to do unlike anything we can ever begin to imagine. That devilish power to dazzle and delude is described for us in II Corinthians 11:14-15,

“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises (transforms)

himself as an angel of light.”

“Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise

themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end

shall be according to their deeds.”

Here it is stated point blank in this instance:

“THE ONLY REASON THAT HOMOSEXUALS DISGUISE THEMSELVES

AS RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIANS, IS BECAUSE SATAN DISGUISES

HIMSELF TO THEM AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT.”

What in the world is going on here? Well, let me tell you what is going on in the world of
“Gays for Christ.” We are dealing here with the “Perfect Storm”, namely:

“THE PULSATING PLEASURES OF PERVERTED SIN, AND

SATAN’S DARKNESS TURNED INTO THE MASKS

OF MESMERIZING LIGHT.”

There are those Christians that have spoken to me and asked, “How in the world can these homosexuals ever desire perversion? It makes me gag.” Yes, me too, but the question belies the fact that neither the homosexual nor the heterosexual really know who we are dealing with in spiritual warfare which involves every person on earth.

We must at this point quote John 8:44, Ephesians 6:12, and requote II Corinthians 4:11. First John 8:44,

“You are of your father the devil…He does not stand for

the truth, because there is no truth in him, Whenever

he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature;

for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

We must realize that Satan’s very nature is falsehood. He never has truthful lapses. Everything he speaks will be lies camouflaged as truth. He will never give anyone as they say, “The Straight Skinny” because he is “The Big Fat Liar.” In fact, he is the fattest liar of them all. Untruth is not just Satan’s policy, but rather his essence. He is the quintessential liar of all time and eternity.

Next Ephesians 6:12,

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against

the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces

of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces

of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Remember, ultimately:

”WE CANNOT CAST OUT THE FLESH, AND WE

CANNOT COUNSEL DEMONS.”

Hear it again:

“THE  FLESH MUST BE CRUCIFIED, AND DEMONS MUST

BE BOUND AND EXORCISED.”

Many not only deal with the flesh wrongly, but they deal with demons wrongly too. In my ministry to homosexuals, without fail, I have sensed the powerful presence and odor of demonic forces in the room as in very few counseling environments.

And again II Corinthians 11:14,

“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises (transforms)

himself as an angel of light.”

Only Satan, the original darkest Darth Vader who transforms himself into light, can make a male body to another male appear irresistibly seductive, while to the same male the woman’s physiology is a turn off. All homosexuality and lesbianism is demonic delusion, and has the devil’s fingerprints all over the place, just like O.J. Simpson’s blood and fingerprints were all over the murder scene. And yet he got away with it, just like Satan does at every perversion scene.

In short:

“IN HOMOSEXUALITY AND IN HOMOSEXUALS WE ARE NOT ULTIMATELY

DEALING WITH IT OR THEM, BUT WITH WICKED SPIRITUAL

FORCES THAT SPECIALIZE IN CORRUPTING AND

PERVERTING FLESH AND BLOOD.”

If you will, we are dealing with evil super-human, above-human powers.

And again:

“IN HOMOSEXUALITY AND IN HOMOSEXUALS, WE ARE DEALING

WITH SATAN WHO NEVER PRESENTS HIMSELF TO

THEM OR TO US AS HE REALLY IS.”

Given those truths, we must remember the following facts that flow from them:

FIRST:

“CHRIST WEARS THE CONSISTENT GLISTENING ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,

BUT SATAN IS THE ORIGINAL CROSS-DRESSER.”

Jesus is robed in righteousness, and His redeemed ones are clothed in the robes of His righteousness too. Satan will present himself in an assortment of duds that will help him accomplish his purposes. He is the master of make-up and disguise! He will even grow white angel wings to enable him to present homosexuality as heavenly and not hellish, as godly and not devilish, as good and not evil.

I have read C.S. Lewis’ book and seen the movie “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe,” but I know that I haven’t seen anything compared to Satan’s bewitching wardrobe. It would make MGM’s and Warner Brother’s wardrobe department look skimpy and simplistic. We would be shocked if we could tour Satan’s captivating, costume closet. But you will not find in that wardrobe a red suit with a pointed tail and horns. He is not that dumb. He never wants to tip off anyone of his real identity. Remember now, he is the father of lies and he is the darkest devil of bright angelic appearances.

But then again, to go into his wardrobe closet wouldn’t be smart, for before we know it, he would have us trying on his alluring wardrobe and seductively offer to give them to us as our very own. We would walk in as heterosexual tourists, and then graduate as homosexual seniors in Satanic caps and gowns. He has those kinds of powers!

SECOND:

“THE BADGE OF TRUTH IS SINGULARITY, AND THE BADGE

OF UNTRUTH IS VARIETY.”

Remember, Jesus is the only way to Heaven, but Satan is about many ways to Heaven. Different strokes for different folks. Variety is the spice of life! God has created only one lifestyle of male-female holy marriage and heterosexual relationships, but Satan is about many alternative lifestyles: trial marriage, divorce, sexual relationships of men with men – women with women – adults with children – wife swapping – humans with animals – demons with women – parents with children – brothers with sisters – homosexuals – bisexuals – transsexuals – transvestites etc. etc.

Satan, who fell from Heaven, flashes all of his falling stars in the heavens that capture human star-watchers, and his falling stars are so bright that his star-gazers cannot see the inky black darkness that is Satan’s true background. No matter how brightly he spins his ideas, the fact is that Satan always rules by night, and has darkness as his background which remains undiscovered by his devotees who have the devil’s false starlight twinkling in their eyes.

THIRD:

“GOD ALWAYS IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS, BUT SATAN

IS NEVER WHO HE SAYS HE IS.”

God is never anything or anyone other than Who He says He is. Satan is never anything or anyone who he says he is.

Satan constantly changes his camouflage as the occasion calls for it. In a word, he will present himself as anything and anyone but himself. He shuffles back and forth between appearances as a politician, a president, a counselor, a priest, a pastor, a newscaster, and on and on and on. He can change his voice better than any ventriloquist. He changes his looks better than any disguise artist in Hollywood. But always in a way that will best accommodate his fallacies. He will always with incredible dexterity and expertise manage his frauds.

But you can always count on Satan presenting you with a Jacob under the form, smell, and the sound of an Esau. In short, the old serpent can shed his skin and grow another as often and as quickly as it is advantageous for him to do so.

Can you imagine a young man who is struggling with his sexual identity in the midst of the perfect storm described in the aforesaid, and having his pastor or priest preaching to him or counseling him that the Lord will be pleased whatever sexual identity personally and relationally he determines himself to be? Nothing is more deadly than a pastor or a priest who is the devil’s voice, and while he is accosting you with perversion-approving smiles, Satan ultimately has designs through him to destroy your body and soul in hell. It is like being murdered by someone disguised as your trusted friend.

THE APOSTATE CHURCH IS BEHIND THE FABRICATION OF CHRISTIAN HOMOSEXUALITY

We now come to the most unthinkable reality in all of this. It is something so horrific that one hardly dares to even mention one word about it. And what is that? Simply put, it is becoming harder and harder for the true people of God to walk through the front doors of a church and say, “I’m home!”

In America on the Sunday before election day November 6, 2012, there will be those who stand on the pulpits of America, and those sitting next to us in the pews who shall go to the polls and vote for a political party and a president who carry the “The Banner of Untruth,” and by their vote they laud and extol gay rights, gay marriage, and women’s rights to kill babies.

You can tell who they are in church, for when the preacher preaches the truth of God’s Word, and commands the hearers on the authority of the Word of God that they must vote for babies’ rights and heterosexual marriage, and against women’s rights to murder babies and gay marriage, the spiritual and moral fabricators in church glance at each other with quick looks of disgust, and tune out the rest of the message.

When you visit with the fabricators, and you approach the subjects specified in the aforesaid, they quickly divert the attention away from spirituality, morality, and politics, and show you pictures of their grandchildren and report the clever things that they say. And there are those who will rise up, and turn the living room into a alligator wrestling arena.

Though they worship with us, they shall carry “The Enemy’s Flag of Untruth” and commit the greatest sacrilege, separation, and betrayal that rivals Judas Iscariot’s thirty pieces of silver. If you will, and it sounds unimaginable:

“MANY OF THE RELIGIOUS SHALL ONCE AGAIN JOIN

THE FORCES OF THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS

AND OPPOSE THE FORCES OF THE

KINGDOM OF LIGHT.”

What they are saying by carrying “The Banner of Untruth” is that you can be a Christian and yet support infant murder and perversion. Of course, because they are side issues! Who would have guessed but a few years ago that the devil’s doctrines-doctrine of demons, namely “Alternative Lifestyles” and “Women’s Right To Choose” would not only have their roots in “Sin” and in “Satan,” but in “The Apostate Church” made up of those who have fallen away from the truth? And from these roots, the devil can grow his rotten fruits in the hearts and lives of the religious and the unreligious alike.

And here then is the sliest aspect of all of Satan’s fabrications! He is weaving his fabric of untruth by means of that supposed one last bastion of truth – the church. Surely he then can walk undiscovered when his disguise is that institution which historically has been synonymous with truth. What a cover! Whether his mask is a president in the White House, or a pastor in the Church House, he can now walk from one to the other and carry on his work of darkness in both.

 

And again:

“SATAN NEVER WEAVES HIS FABRICATIONS SO SKILLFULLY

AS WHEN HE CONCEALS HIS PERSON UNDER

RESPECTED FIGURES IN SOCIETY.”

And much more than that, we now have churches who preach that Satan is not a real being, but rather, simply a symbol for evil. So it is that:

“SATAN NEVER TEMPTS AS DANGEROUSLY AS WHEN HE

CAN PERSUADE MEN THAT THERE IS NO TEMPTER.”

CONCLUSION

There is a text in the Psalms that is so powerful and so apropos here – Psalm 60:4,

“Thou hast given a banner to those who fear Thee,

that it may be displayed because of the truth.”

If you will, it is “The Banner of Truth” that the God-fearing armies of Jesus Christ around the world carry daily into battle against the enemies of truth. The church of Jesus Christ is an army with banners, and she is referred to in Song of Solomon 6:4 and 10 KJV in this way,

“Terrible as an army with banners.”

And in that posture, carrying that banner of truth, the Psalmist comes to the victorious conclusion in Psalm 60:12,

“Through God we shall do valiantly, and it is He Who

will trod down our enemies.”

Or as the chorus we once sang says:

Through our God we shall do valiantly,
It is He Who shall tread down the enemy,
We’ll sing and shout the victory,
Christ is King!

For God has won the victory
And set His people free,
His Word has slain the enemy,
The earth shall stand and see that-

Through our God we shall do valiantly
It is He Who shall tread down the enemy
We’ll sing and shout His victory,
Christ is King, Christ is King, Christ is King.

PRAYER:

“LORD OUR GOD, WE LIFT UP AND WAVE THE BANNER OF TRUTH TO GLORIFY YOU IN THE BATTLE. MAY ALL OF THE FABRICATIONS OF SIN, SATAN, AND APOSTASY UNRAVEL BEFORE YOUR AWESOME ARMY THAT IS MIGHTY WITH BANNERS. THROUGH OUR ALMIGHTY GOD, MAY THE TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST DO VALIANTLY, FOR GOD AND GOD ALONE WILL TRAMPLE DOWN OUR ENEMIES. THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. AMEN!”
