Mark it down, June 26, 2013, will become a historic day, marking the day America takes its moral compass further south.

In two 5-4 decisions, the United States Supreme Court has ruled that the Person of God and His Scripture are no longer relevant with regard to the institution of marriage. In the place of God, the Court has ruled that the will of men determines what constitutes marriage.

The court’s decision is built on a moral foundation less stable than quicksand.

Let’s be clear, these verdicts are more about the failure of the church to be salt and light than they are about the failure of the Supreme Court. For at least three generations the church has allowed her children to be taught that God has no part in the educational process. It began by teaching that God has nothing to do with math, science, economics, literature, or civics. This soon spread to the teaching that God has nothing to do with morality and history.

JUDGMENT IS UPON AMERICA

As a result, a morally strong American society has been replaced by a morally bankrupt American society. When God and His laws were still honored in America, society was being driven off from the forbidden evil it is inclined to, and drawn to the Divinely commanded good it is adverse to. Now, with the help of the Supreme Court, America is being drawn even more to the forbidden fruit it is inclined to, and lured away from the Divinely commanded good that it is adverse to.

Remember Sodom and Gomorrah! It had gone too far! Names that carry the horrors and fires of Hell in every syllable! Thus it will be and already is in America that under the severe judgment of God, her righteousness will be turned into rot, her plenty will be turned into scarcity, her health will be turned into sickness, her strength will be turned into weakness, and even her religion into hypocrisy and profaneness.

Alas! Because of the growing hardness of hearts, the searedness of conscience, and the lethargy of spirit in society and much of the modern church, the American public and church will remain asleep in the midst of the aforesaid Divine judgments even as Jonah was asleep in the midst of the storm which his own disobedience had brought upon him.

Worst of all will come, and is already here, the most awful plague that man can experience in this world, namely Mark 4:12,

“In order that while seeing, they may see and not perceive; and while

hearing, they may hear and not understand…”

If you will:

“IN FEELING HURT, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FEEL ANY LONGER WHAT

HURTS US THE MOST, AND THAT IS OUR REBELLION AGAINST

AND DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD.”

And what is more:

“AMERICAN SOCIETY AND RELIGION WILL BE SO FAST ASLEEP IN THEIR

SINS, THAT NO TEMPORAL JUDGMENT BUT ONLY THE LAST JUDGMENT

AND TRUMPET WILL STARTLE THEM TO AWAKE, BUT TOO LATE.”

The court majority swept aside the view of marriage that has been upheld throughout recorded history. The court’s replacement view was not even a consideration twenty years ago. Arrogance moves with astounding haste and lack of caution.

JUDGMENT UPON WICKED CHRISTIANS THE HEAVIEST

It is hard to imagine, in fact impossible to imagine, that America now has a heathen Supreme Court. What is far more agonizing is to hear so-called fundamentalists, like Senator Lindsay Graham, supporting and upholding the Court’s decision to deny God and the Bible’s right to define marriage, and declaring its own right to do so.

Lindsay Graham’s exact words were,”I am disappointed in the Courts decision, but I respect it.”  Unlike Graham, I am outraged, not disappointed, at the Court’s decision as all Christians should be, and I decry, not respect, the Court’s decision as all Christians must. It is this Graham fork-tongued, two-sided babble that is at the heart of the crisis. Lindsay Graham and the apostate American church remind me of:

“THE DYING  MAN WHO HAS AIR IN HIS NOSTRILS, BUT DOES NOT

HAVE BREATH IN HIS LUNGS TO SUSTAIN LIFE.”

This is why America is now suffocating due to spiritual and moral oxygen deprivation in its very soul.

There is a huge, far leftist, liberal move in traditional denominations that stand with Obama and the Court to redefine marriage according to social norms. I could take you to Seminary professors today who are elated with the Court’s decision.

Hear me:

“THE CHRISTIAN SINNER IS A FAR GREATER SINNER THAN THE GREATEST

SINNER AMONG THE HEATHEN.”

Why? Because the heathen sin against the light of nature, and against their own reason only. However, wicked Christians sin not only against the light of nature and reason, but against Divine Revelation in the clear and unmistakable precepts of Divine Law.

Therefore:

“IT WILL BE EASIER FOR HEATHEN IN THE JUDGMENT, KNOWING THAT THERE IS

NOTHING EASY, THAN IT WILL BE FOR THE WICKED, REBELLIOUS,

IMPENITENT CHRISTIAN.”

RELIGIOUS HYPOCRISY

Who am I talking about? Religious hypocrites, politic Christians, who are hypocrites indeed, because they seem to believe what they do not believe! Hear the words of Isaiah 33:12-14a KJV,

“And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up

shall they be burned in the fire.”

“Hear, ye that afar off, what I have done; and yet that are near,

acknowledge my might.”

“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.

Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among

us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”

Listen:

“THOUGH THE AGENDA OF THE HEATHEN POLITICIAN AND THE HYPOCRITE CHRISTIAN

SEEM CONTRARY, YET THEY SHALL FINALLY MEET AND THEIR FIERY

END SHALL BE THE SAME.”

And again:

“THOUGH THE HEATHEN POLITICIAN AND THE HYPOCRITE CHRISTIAN SEEM AT

TIMES TO DERIDE AND LAUGH AT EACH OTHER HERE, BOTH OF THEM

SHALL WEEP AND GNASH THEIR TEETH IN THE HEREAFTER.”

STATE SANCTIONED MARRIAGE

In writing for the majority, Justice Kennedy wrote:

“The Defense of Marriage Act’s principle effect is to identify a subset of state-sanctioned marriages and make them unequal…”

Notice that Kennedy deemed marriage between a man and a woman to be “state-sanctioned.” Herein lies the problem – marriage is not state-sanctioned. It is ordained by God. Of course, this view of the state-sanctioned marriage is consistent with the current educational belief in evolution and social determinism.

God, His word, His glory and His salvation has not been the foundation of our children’s education. Thus, what happened to the nation of Israel has happened to the United States – every man does what is right in his own eyes.

We have abandoned the role of the formative instruction of our children to those who do not bow in humility before God and His word. Until God is acknowledged for who He says He is, America will continue to make moral judgments based upon the quicksand of post-modern, existential thought. The problem lies not with a particular form of education. The problem lies with any form of education that does not see God’s truth as the only solid foundation for life.

CONCLUSION

If this makes you uncomfortable, that is good thing. Do whatever it takes to teach your children that the truth of Scripture and the power of the gospel extends to every area of life. Understand the ominous warnings behind this ruling. God is not irrelevant. He is not mocked. God is not bound by the ruling of the Supreme Court. He is bound by His will, His justice, His holiness. He will act accordingly.

So, can we now stop talking about the United States as a “Christian Nation” so that we can get back to preaching the Gospel to pagan American.

For the sake of our children, our churches, and our country may we begin to live according to the reality that our God is a consuming fire. May we hold to the gospel as the only hope for the rescue of man. May we live God’s truth as the only path of restoration.

All other ground is sinking sand.

ADDENDUM

The opposition of the United States Supreme Court to the Genesis account of marriage as the only valid marriage in society has dramatic implications for the Church of Jesus Christ, and for preachers of the Gospel. Unlike anything we have ever faced before!

We need to hear the words of Hebrews 13:6-7,

“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what shall man do unto me?”

“Remember those who led you, who spoke THE WORD OF GOD to you,

and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith.”

That is where our spiritual warfare with demonic forces is taking place, namely, over the air space directly above the Word of God. The airspace above the Word of God has been left and is being left unprotected by the apostate church. Satan is bombing with his fiery missiles the Word of God through the Supreme Court.

Hear it strong! Spiritual warfare is like a NASA space mission – ever-shifting atmospheric and celestial conditions must line up just right to afford that fleeting widow of opportunity. In reverse, the reason that Satan has been able to break through with his space-to-Bible attacks is because he has found the atmospheric conditions suitable to his launches. We as Christians and preachers have not filled the air with Bible truth that alone is our defense.

And as far as fearing man is concerned, hear it:

“FEAR OF MAN ALWAYS CARRIES WITHIN IT A DISTRUST OF GOD.”

And again:

The Word of God always has the preeminence, not the word of man. To fear any man is to prostitute our souls and to betray the holy call of God. After all, the design of Scripture is to shrink man to his true diminutive size, and to shrivel the glory of man with the most humbling expressions, such as in Isaiah 2:22,

“Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; for why should

he be esteemed?”

Why should we, accompanied by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords on His majestic white horse, wring our hands in front of diminutive gunslingers who are sitting on pale ponies?
