Supernatural God or Natural Scientist?
What the enemy is so gifted in is his plying us with lie after lie clothed as truth, thereby leading us from mirage to mirage, and then like thirsty foreign legionnaires we fall with our mouths in the sand as we stagger from dune to dune dying from unquenched thirst for truth. We then end up in disbelief, disobedience and death as our bones bleach and dry in Satan’s deserts of deception.
“THE ONLY WAY SATAN CAN GET US TO BELIEVE HIS LIES IS TO
WRAP THEM UP IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE TRUTH.”
Secondly, Satan will make truth appear as falsehood by pointing at what appears to be the absolute absurdity of truth, i.e. can the same person be God and man, Creator and creature, Infinite and finite? He will make people not only doubtful but ashamed to embrace beliefs such as the incarnation of the Son of God, which belief seems to disparage their reason.
Listen closely:
THAT HE MUST FIRST HAVE OUR REASON BOW TO HIM.”
Thirdly, and this is the one that we mainly are dealing with in this teaching, and that is that all of Scripture must be tested and broken down in the laboratory of “Science” in order to get to its true meaning. In other words, Satan tell us that we come to understand what God is talking about in His word, not by sound principles of Biblical exegesis, but by the application of the laws of natural science. If you will:
CREATOR’S SUPERNATURAL ACCOUNT, BUT TO THE DISOVERY
CHANNEL’S NATURAL-SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION.”
Satan will often use all three at the same time. He will mask error with what appears to be truth. He will appeal to our reason. And he will use his knock-out punch by applying natural law to the supernatural. He does all of this with such slyness, that recently my own 78 year old sister revealed that she was beginning to believe that homosexuality is due not to man’s sinful nature and sinful choice, but to natural variations in the human genetic make-up.
Ergo, what we call perversion is no more than human-genetic irregularity, making homosexuality a genetic variance at best, and a small caliber and very forgivable misbehavior at worse. When all the while:

AS TO GIVE LEGITIMACY TO SEXUAL PERVERSION
.”And I assure you that I wouldn’t waste my time or yours if this “Scripture Versus Science” battle wasn’t raging intensely hotter than ever before.
What is the main difference between the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore? Well, to be honest with you, there are many huge differences, but one of the main ones is that at the rim of the Grand Canyon we look down, but at the base of Mount Rushmore, we look up. It is the very same difference between “Science” and “Scripture.” If the former is our point of reference for finding truth, we will look down. But if the latter is our point of reference for finding truth, we will look up.
Now then, First we shall deal with the heretical teaching that God must abide by natural law. Second we shall deal with the herertical teaching that the real history of the universe is in the stars and not in the Word of God.
GOD BOUND BY NATURAL LAW
Once the devil gets inside your head, to remove his mental grip of deceit, I have found in my years of ministry, it takes an electric extractor big and strong enough to remove tractor wheel lug-nuts.
Creflo Dollar, pastor of World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia, whose services and ministry have regularly been broadcast on TBN, says this:
GENESIS.
EVERYTHING PRODUCES AFTER ITS KIND. WILLGOD SET A LAW IN
MOTION AND THEN NOT FOLLOWTHAT LAW THAT HE HAS SET
IN MOTION?ABSOLUTELY NOT! WHERE DID YOU
COME
FROM? WHO DID YOU COMEFROM? EVERYTHING
PRODUCESAFTER ITS KIND. HORSES
GET
HORSES, AND DOGS GET DOGS,
AND
HAS LITTLE GODS. SEEDS REMAIN TRUE TO NATURE,
BEARING ITS OWN KIND.” (2)

Creflo Dollar presents to us the totally faulty syllogism which we can outline in this fashion:
“God produces gods.” (Minor Premise)
Cadillacs produce VW Bugs (Conclusion)
Why the sarcasm? Because of what Dollar erroneously infers from his question, “Will God set in motion a law and then not follow that law that He set in motion?” The answer to that question is a loud and resounding YES in each and every case, which blows this faulty logic and reason to smithereens.
God has created and set in motion all kinds of natural laws in His creation and is subject to absolutely none of them.
“He makes the clouds His chariots; He walks upon the
While God rides in his cloud-chariots in the skies, men ride on their earthly tricycles on earth and crash into each other. While God does His cloud dance in the heavens, many of us can’t even dance on earth without stumbling all over ourselves. Every time I see the clouds moving and swirling above, I think to myself that God is having fun in the sky today. While He walks upon the wind, we get blown over by it. Listen:
MAN BY HIMSELF IS DOMINATED BT IT.”
The supernatural is always contrary to, above, and outside of the laws of natural science, even though the supernatural God created the laws of natural science.

Or again, every bush that I know of will be turned into ashes by a fire that consumes it. That is simply a law of nature, i.e. the law of fire. If every natural element is kept in its place, things will go well. But if the element of fire, for instance, gets out of place, things do not go well, and then fire becomes an inferno and forests become charred, blackened wastelands.
Did the supernatural God set into motion natural laws that He doesn’t abide by? Indeed, each and every one of them. Listen now:
WOULD NOT BE SUPERNATURAL, NOW WOULD IT?”
So this absurdity that because rabbits have bunnies, God gives birth to gods by a natural imperative is completely unbiblical and therefore an out-and-out lie and blasphemy. Yes, blasphemy! Why?
BLASPHEMY IS SIN NOT ONLY EMBRACED, BUT DEFENDED.”
And yet the religiously snookered gather around these falsehoods like the homeless gather around a barrel of fire, opening up the modern church to all kinds of extremes and insanities. After all, if we are born-again gods, we certainly are above all sin as good, little gods must be. And since we are regenerated deities, we don’t pray, but rather bark orders and declarations which is after all the way divinity should express itself. Hear it again and again:
“UNTRUTH EMBRACED ALWAYS LEADS TO MORE AND
STARS TELL THE STORY OF THE UNIVERSE
I always was taught and therefore thought that the Bible tells us the true story of the universe. Now we are being told that the light bearers of the universe tell the story of the universe. You know, Who created it is found in the Bible, but how He did it, in what time frames, etc. lies in science.
The “Creation Story” has from time immemorial by the church been taken from Genesis 1 in the Holy Bible. We received that Holy Spirit inspired revelation from Moses. Now we are being told that we can only get the real scoop about creation from astronomers, not Moses. If you will:
RATHER THE SCIENCE OF MATTER BEYOND THE EARTH’S
ATMOSPHERE THAT TELLS US THE REAL STORY
OF THE UNIVERSE.”
Rev. Scott Hoezee, Director of the Center for Excellence in Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary, in an article entitled When Appearances Are Deceiving, quotes Deborah Haarsma who was a guest lecturer in a theology and science course that Rev. Hoezee was teaching. She said:
THE STARS AND GALAXIES AND NEBULAE IS NOT JUST GENERIC
LIGHT – THESE STREAMS OF LIGHT TELL US A STORY. THEY
REPRESENT COSMIC HISTORY. ALL OF THAT LIGHT IS
COLLECTIVE MEMORY OF THE COSMOS….LIGHT
TELLS A STORY. IT IS THE STORY OF
THE
UNIVERSE.” (3)Rev Hoezee in his article calls the lecture by Haarsma his “Ah-Ha Moment.” That is to say, his thrilling moment of discovery and understanding of the universe and how really it came to develop. I wonder whether he has had or still has any equal or even greater thrilling “Ah-Ha Moments” of discovery when he first read and still reads the Genesis account of the creation of the world and all that it contains.
Or, is the Moses’ rendition in comparison a pallid account that we really don’t want paraded in church anymore, let alone in public? I mean to say, after all, Moses is but a layman compared to the professionals in the world of science. You know, compared to the natural scientist’s revelations, Moses’ short story of creation is now looked upon as something more like stale bread being thrown to quacking, old-time-religion, uneducated church ducks who quickly eat every morsel thrown their way.
It all comes into focus when Rev. Hoezee writes with tongue-in-cheek:
STARS
THAT WE CAN NOW MEASURE TO BE SO FAR AWAY THATTHEIR LIGHT
WOULD TAKE MILLIONS OF YEARS TO GET HERE.BUT BECAUSE GOD
CREATED THINGS ALREADY IN MOTION,THAT LIGHT HIT ADAM’S
EYEBALLS IMMEDIATELY EVENTHOUGH THE UNIVERSE WAS
A SCANT SIX DAYS OLD.THAT NEVER SEEMED RIGHT TO ME
.” (4)Of course the implication being that because of the vast but varied number of years it takes starlight to reach the earth, the Bible’s revelation of a six-day creation with Adam enjoying the starry heavens on the sixth day cannot be taken literally. Only the blue collar bumpkins believe that, those with educated minds have put all of that to bed long ago.
If you will, where this takes us is:
APPEARANCE OF TRUTH AND TRUTH ITSELF.”
In the case of the Bible, we have what appears to be truth, but the real truth in natural science belies the appearance of truth. That is, what appears in the Scriptural narrative about creation is not really what happened. We can only find that with the help of the astronomer-scientist.
Au contraire! As the Apostle Paul states in Romans 3:4,
The facts are that in God’s creation of the world:

BUT THE APPEARANCEOF TRUTH
.”It was Abraham Lincoln who stated:
Likewise, we must state:
Those methods are not revealed in the stars, they are revealed in the God of the Word and in the Word of God. To be sure, because He is the Supernatural God and not a natural scientist, His methods and purposes that transcend all natural laws also transcend us in inexplicable, unreachable, and unfathomable proportions!
Do remember the words of Paul in Romans 11:33,
unfathomable His ways.”
BUT NOT MORE SO.”
Why? Because when it comes to the ways and hows of our Supernatural God, they must be allowed to mystify us, and if we don’t, we will be mislead, if not mislead ourselves. It is always safer to be mystified than to be misled.
If we do not allow the Bible’s account of creation to stand as is as the final verdict in the Science Vs Creation trial, but rather explain and speak what it does not explain or speak, we take away the mystery of God who then ends up not being the Supernatural God at all.
Then it is all up-up-and-away trillions of miles above us in astounding wonders from that point on. Such as we read in Genesis 1:16,17,19–
“And God made the two lights, the greater light to govern the
day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He
made the stars also.”
“And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give
“And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.”
That all too contradicts every law of science, for on that fourth day, the light of the sun, moon and stars immediately and interchangeably hit the created earth, and it was so even as it says. Hear me:
SOMETHING THAT HE IN FACT DID DO.”
The same supernatural God who made everything from zero, reduced to zero, in that moment of created time, the millions of miles that separated earth from the light bearers so that the light hit the earth instantly. Good morning! Good night! It is written! In the Word, not in the stars. It was all supernatural, and infinitely above and beyond the natural.
I have no trouble whatsoever with scientific findings that show that Usher’s Chronology is total fiction. What I do have huge trouble with is the scientist or theologian who deliteralizes and naturalizes the Literal-Supernatural-Genesis Account of Creation. That we cannot and will not allow.
There was once a scientist who discovered the art of cloning himself so perfectly that it was impossible to tell the reproduction from the original. One day, he learned that the Angel of Death was searching for him, so he produced a dozen copies of himself. The angel was at a loss to know which of the thirteen specimens before him was the scientist and which were the clones, so he left them alone, and returned to Heaven.
But not for long, for being an expert in human natrue, the angel came up with a clever device. He said to the scientist and the 12 reproductions before him, “Sir, you must be a genius to have succeeded in making perfect reproductions of yourself. However, I have discovered a flaw in your work, just one tiny flaw.”
The offended scientist immediately jumped out from among his clones and shouted, “Impossible! Where is the flaw?” “Right here,” said the angel as he picked up the scientist from among the reproductions and carried him off.
Likewise, we have clerics and theologians today trying to clone the Genesis account of creation, and making their deliteralized-desupernaturalized-naturalized accounts sound and look exactly the same as Genesis 1. cloned-creation theories that appear the same as Genesis, but are in fact at the heart of it all fakes. I will leave it to your imagination as to what should be done.
Why such heavy censure? Simply because if we allow Genesis History-His story to be desupernaturalized and deliteralized and dehistorized at the very beginning of history, there is no end to what will be desupernaturalized and deliteralized and dehistorized throughout the Bible. Screw up the Bible here and then they will be trying to screw it up everywhere.
THE “PRECIOUS MEMORIES HOW THEY LINGER” ARGUMENT
Rev. Hoezee in this regard, launches into what he sees as a powerful argument against the possibility of a literal six-day creation by the Supernatural God. It is an argument birthed out of sentiment but not relevancy. He writes:
MEMORIES.
I CAN REMEMBER MY BROTHER BEING BORNWHEN I WAS ABOUT FOUR
YEARS OLD. I CANREMEMBER MOTHER WALKING ME TO
KINDER
GARTEN….THIS MEMORYSTREAM, THIS HISTORY OF
MY LIFE
THAT APPEARSTO ME IN MY MIND
IS CLEAR AND
VIVID
ANDUNDENIABLE….
BUT HOW WOULD I FEEL IF SOME
ONE…TOLD METHATIN REALITY SCOTT HOEZEE
(AND EVERYTHING ELSEFOR THAT MATTER)
HAD BEEN CREATED INMOTION STARTING
AT MY 45th YEAROF LIFE IN 2009 ETC
?” (5)His point is obvious, and that is if all of those memories of childhood and growing up he found to be nothing but imagination, and that his first 45 years didn’t exist, how would he feel? He concludes that he would be very angry at a very cruel God for duping him.
Yes I know, “Precious Memories How They Linger.” I don’t want to be insensitive or mean, but my answer to the entire argument is, “So What?” This isn’t even good science, but is complete science fiction and totally irrelevant.
GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE AND MYSTERIOUS, AND
ITS ‘GENESIS’ AND ‘SACRED STORY’ LIE INFIINTELY
ABOVE THE LIGHT OF THE STARS IN THE MIND,
MEMORIES, AND WAYS OF THE
MYSTERIOUS CREATOR.”
In fact:
TO GOD, TO THE WORD, TO MANKIND, AND
TO OURSELVES.”
CONCLUSION
What I see happening more and more in this battle is that the scientific naturalists are becoming more and more intense. They are using strong fire-hosed jet streams of science to try and disperse the listless and dwindling crowd of traditional creationists who really have little understanding of the real issues or what to do about them.
“When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith
What is at stake? Truth! The holy and inspired word of truth – the Bible! Have you noticed, and I hope to God that you have, how difficult in every dimension it has become to maintain the truth anymore. It is the most damnable and delusional thing in the modern world and church that I have ever witnessed. Everything is up for grabs, and what is worse:
AND MORE IMPOSSIBLE TO BE MAINTAINED BY IT.”
Remember how I said that Satan makes untruth appear like truth. The masqueraders of truth portray themselves as forerunners to truth. Do you see it now:, as through natural science they purport to be the world’s providers finally of intelligent, rational, sensible, scientific truth.
They remind me of the broom sweepers in the sport of curling. With every feverish sweep they polish the path of the “truth-rock,” hoping that they will once and for all knock out of the way those rock-headed traditional Biblical creationists, and establish their natural theories in place of the supernatural facts of Scripture. That is what is happening, and this rock head is not going to budge. He that hath eyes, let him see what the Holy Spirit is showing the church.
