Keeping Our Priorities Straight
I don’t know about you, but I hate being made a sucker. I despise political lies of which there are plenty being told these days. Now then, have you ever heard of global warming? In many circles they have already been “Al Gored” by the hysteria of global warming.
Let me ask you another question? Did you ever hear of global cooling? That particular hysteria began to rage in the 1970s. There were those who then predicted that we were soon coming upon the possibility of what they called another ice age. Lots of folks stocked up on extra blankets, coats, food and wood to keep themselves fed and warm in the eminent frozen future. That passed! Now the same people are crying fire!
For the record, the real facts are that the earth in the past 100 years has warmed up by a mere 1 degree Fahrenheit. In that colossal climate overheating, the life expectancy of folks in industrialized nations has shot up to 80 years, and crop production has never been so prolific. Yet we are told that we are in great danger, and so America is about to spend billions of dollars to avoid what is a highly debatable theory, while her infrastructure is collapsing.
What is not theoretical, and what is destroying the world is not a polar ice cap melt-down which threatens to turn the earth into a water world, but a moral melt-down of cosmic proportions which has already turned the earth into an immoral sewer. Our biggest catastrophe is not the destruction of the ozone layer, but the destruction of the moral fiber of modern society. Our primary concern is not the survival of polar bears, but the salvation of lost mankind through the Lord Jesus Christ. Our first responsibility is not to Al Gore’s “Queen Mother Earth,” but to heaven and earth’s “Father God!”
