He most certainly has over the years. God has shed His grace on His daughter – Miss America! Incredibly! Did you ever read history in that fashion and with that perspective? It is really something. Did you ever try to figure it all out militarily without the hand of God upon the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Did you ever try to figure out why the United States was given the code of the German army – so that we operated for a good measure of World War II reading their messages? Did you ever wonder why God gave the secret of the atom bomb to American and British scientists – rather than to the Germans? It is even more astounding because Germany, not the United States, was the fountainhead of science at the outbreak of World War II. Any American scientist will tell you that.
Then in 1948, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down religious education in public schools. That was aimed directly against Christianity which had been the very foundation and essence of public education.
In 1954 the United States Supreme Court let stand a lower court ruling that banned the distribution of Bibles in schools by outside groups like the Gideons. In 1962, The U.S. Supreme Court disallowed a government composed non-denominational prayer which was recited by students. In 1973, abortions were legalized by the United States Supreme Court. From that time on abortions were legal only until the child was deemed a viable human being and could live outside of the womb albeit with support systems to sustain life. In 1980, the Ten Commandments were banned from all public school properties.
Without any discredit to, or lack of honor for, or withholding of thanks to our brave heroes and heroines of the following wars, the Korean War (1950-1953) was considered to be only a partial success; the Vietnam War (1965-1972) in the eyes of many was a total failure; and the Iraq War (2003-2008) seems to be unending. Make your own determinations! Has God lifted His hand of protection and favor from America since she has lifted up her fist against Him? If God be for us, who can be against us? But if God be against us, it doesn’t make any difference who is for us!
