FREEDOM IS NOT FREE
Sounds like a contradiction, doesn’t it? If it is FREEdom, then certainly there can be no cost and no strings attached! If you will, if it is true FREEdom, it must be unconditional and totally unprescribed! Aha, and so the beat goes on.
That is what modern man likes to think, and what is being taught and spoken often in veiled but unmistakable ways. This is a Fox Alert! This false and devastating philosophy is being promoted and embraced in every area and on every level of government and education today!
Another way of stating our theme that FREEDOM IS NOT FREE is this:
“THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS
ABSOLUTE FREEDOM.”
Oh my, that is a curveball that most people today strike out on, and then argue vehemently with the umpire about the called third strike. As far as they are concerned, it wasn’t anywhere near the strike zone. And so the heated argument rages today in every seat of government and in every level of education! In fact, it is the heart of the irreconcilable stalemate in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate.
It is right here where life goes amuck, and it this:
“FREEDOM TO BE TRULY FREE
MUST HAVE UNFREEDOMS.”
Wow! How is that for a swift kick in modern man’s unfettered pants? I can hear 👂👂the screams of the liberal mentality of modern America as it shrieks in agonizing pain, “Are you crazy, freedom that is unfree, what are you, insane?”
FREEDOM’S FREEING LIMITS
But you see, and here is the plain and pulsating and powerful truth:
“FREEDOM WITHOUT BORDERS,
FREEDOM WITHOUT THE RULE
OF LAW IS NOT FREEDOM AT
ALL, BUT INSTEAD IS THE
ESSENCE OF CHAOS
AND ANARCHY.”
We hear 👂👂 👂👂 God saying to the now free children of Israel in Exodus 20:2,
“I am the Lord your God Who
brought you out of the land
of Egypt, out of the house
of slavery!”
Now then, here are TEN LAWS, TEN UNFREEDOMS that you must obey if you are to be truly free and stay out of the bondage of sin and destruction! Got it!? True freedom is not unprincipled and is not unbounded. If you don’t got it, then get it now or you will be enslaved and in the chains of sin and death forever!
THE RAPE OF FREEDOM
The Lord Jesus tells us this in Matthew 24:12,
“In the last days iniquity shall
abound, and the love of
many shall grow cold. “
Where we read the word iniquity, it really means LAWLESSNESS! If you will, it means that the closer we come to Christ’s return, rebellion against the rule of law shall abound. We are there, and it jumps out at us from behind every bush!
In the recent televised debacle of the recent hearings of Brett Cavanaugh for the Supreme Court, gobs of protesters broke out in shouts in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s interrogation of Judge Cavanaugh. It was a planned and choreographed riot that broke out over and over again. It turned into a circus.
At one point Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois looked at the spectators as well as at the TV cameras and actually said about the screaming left wingers, “These are necessary and right illustrations of democracy and the freedom of speech in action.”
Can you imagine? No, this was 👎 not our freedom in action, but rather an illustration of the spirit of lawlessness in action, freedom being raped by chaos and anarchy. These mobs were not glorious illustrations of American Liberties, but of the violation of the rule of law. They were and are violators, lawless, and that is exactly why their sorry bones were dragged out kicking and screaming and then arrested.
Dickey Durbin ought to step down from his senatorial seat now! He lied to the American people young and old, and invited riot and anarchy in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
