Abimelech and Obamalech
ABIMELECH AND SARAH
You may recall the story. King Abimelech of Gerar was about to do something in his life that would have resulted in sure death for himself and for those with him. Abimelech was intent on taking as his wife Sarah who of course was the wife of Abraham. King Abimelech was the type who when it comes to women, when he sees what he likes, he takes it. A grab, reach, or go without kind of guy. If it looks good, go for it. If it feels good, do it. We read in Genesis 20:3 that God appeared to Abimelech in a dream and said to him:
“Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman you have taken, for she is married.”
But God stopped him on his adulterous path. That is most importent to see in this teaching later on. We read in Genesis 20:6 of God’s words to Abimelech,
“…and I also kept you from sinning against Me, therefore I did not let you touch her.”
I guess we could call this:
“GOD’S PREVENTING GRACE.”
God literally snatched Abimelech from the jaws of death and destruction by restraining him from committing this deadly sin. God personally intercepted ole Abimelech in his womanizing ways, and spared this heathen potentate from an inglorious death.
It made no difference to God that Abimelech had been lied to by Abraham who told Abimelech that his wife Sarah was his sister. Abraham did that to save his own skin, fearing that if Abimelech knew that he was the husband of Sarah, Abimelech would have summarily dispensed with him. If you will, whacked him. But you see, even though Abraham lied, sin is sin in God’s eyes, no matter how it came to be.
There are no extenuating circumstances when it comes to sin. God does not grade on the curve. It is either up or down with God, and at this point, Abimelech is going down. The question that men will either go up or go down on only requires a one word answer – YES or NO. Did you or did you not do what I told you? Anything else is superfluous.
So God said to Abimelech in Genesis 20:6-7,
“Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done
this…but if you do not restore her, know that you shall
surely die, you and all who are yours.”
I don’t want to miss some very powerful truths here. First of all, God is a very gracious God in giving Abimelech a strong warning and deterrent against his sinful intention. If you will, a powerful mercy-check! In other words, God was saying to him,
“EITHER GIVE SARAH BACK TO ABRAHAM, OR YOU ARE A DEAD MAN WALKING.”
My oh my! No small caliber misdemeanor is adultery. We read in Levicitus 20:10,
“If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one
who commits adultery with his friends wife, the adulterer and the
adulteress shall surely be put to death.“
That surely gives a wider and sexier definition to the death penalty, doesn’t it.! Today, that would put half of the adult population on death row. It might go a long ways to dousing the out-of-control fires of lust that are burning marriages to cinders on every American street block by block.
Second, God is not loath to deter men from sin by threatening their death, and making good on his threats in any way that He pleases. That of course comes as a shock for those who are being tickled and petted in today’s mushy, sugar-daddy god, cotton-candy god religion. Karl Marx said that religion is the opiate of the people. He would be partly right in much of today’s religious world.
God and Abimelech completely counter the current seeker-friendly nonsense that grace/mercy and wrath/judgment represent two different gods, and that they cannot co-exist in the same God! The truth is that if both are not being preached and believed in the name of Jesus Christ, what we then have is a false god and a false religion.
We read in Genesis 20:14,
“Abimelech…restored his (Abraham) wife to him.”
Good move! Crisis averted! Abimelech by the skin of his teeth lived to see another day.
OBAMALECH AND JERUSALEM
Very recently, President Obama’s proposed to Benjamin Netanyahu that the Palestinian State should be shaped around the border lines that existed before the 1967 war in which Israel took control of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the pre-1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps of land,” Obama proposed while acting as if he spoke for all Americans.
I mean, the guts of this guy. Who does he think he is simply from an international diplomacy perspective, telling another sovereign nation to rearrange its borders? Hear this President Obama:
“YOU SEEM TO THINK THAT YOU ARE THE BOSS OF EVERYONE, WHEN
IN FACT YOU ARE THE BOSS OF NO ONE. ONLY JESUS CHRIST
IS LORD OF ALL THE THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
This “Authority Complex” is the stuff out of which sadistic and gruesome fantasies are spun. Right Adolf?
Shocking! Obama wanting to parcel out Jerusalem to Allah and Islam. That is what he wants done. It was Emerson wno said:
“A MAN’S ACTION IS THE PICTURE BOOK OF HIS CREED.”
If you will:
“OBAMA’S TRUE THEOLOGY IS NOT WHAT HE SAYS, BUT WHAT
HE IS UP TO.”
Interesting isn’t it that the same America that has kicked God and His Word out of her schools elected a president who advocates the systematic removal of God and Israel out of Jerusalem. It is the same evil anti-Judeo/Christian spirit.
Germans believed in Naziism long before they killed fot it. I recall the teachings of Viktor Frankl who taught that Germany went to Hell and built the gas chambers because years before they had eliminated God from the universities. World War II, with its oceans of blood, was the result of ousting God and replacing Him with Hitler. The very same thing is happening in America with the ousting of the Judeo/Christian God from her schools and universities and now replacing Him with Obama.
Now then, let’s get down to business. The Bible mentions Jerusalem nearly 800 times. First of all, the Bible is specific as to Whose city Jerusalem is. We read of the “Divine Ownership” of Jerusalem in Psalm 87:3,
“Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God.”
And again in Psalm 48:8,
“As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the
Lord of hosts, in the city of our God;
God will establish her forever.”
Many of our grandparents could have quoted from memory those Scriptures which Obama and his liberals refuse to read or acknowledge.
Jerusalem belongs to “Jahweh” and does not belong to “Allah.” Jerusalem belongs to Jahweh’s Jews and not to Allah’s Moslems. The matter of ownership begins and ends here. Discussion over! Jerusalem is Jahweh’s private and personally owned city. It is Jahweh’s own private island in a fomenting sea of Moslem Madness. Of course, the whole world belongs to Jahweh, but Jerusalem is God’s earthly address. He is not moving! Jerusalem is not for sale, swap, or subletting on any terms.
Second, Jerusalem is completely enveloped in and by the land which God also deeded to Israel. We read of that land in Genesis 15:18,
“On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘To
your descendants I have given this land, from the river of
Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.”
The entire Land of Canaan, i.e. The Promised Land, including of course Jerusalem is contained between the Nile River and the River Euphrates. God deeded all of that geography to His chosen people Israel, and it is not for sale at any price. It is a done deal, and though now Israel does not inhabit much of its own property, one day soon that shall be rectified.
Third, God tells us in the last days He will cause Jerusalem to be “a burdensome stone for all people.” We read in Zechariah 12:3,
“And it will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem
a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will
be severely injured….”
If you will, anyone who tries to carry Jerusalem away piece by piece from the God of Israel and the Israel of God, will be punished severely. I believe this for sure, that what God said to Abimelech He is now saying to Obamalech who refuses to confess that Jerusalem and the Promised Land are married to Jahweh:
“BUT IF YOU TRY TO LIFT AND CARRY JERUSALEM
AWAY, YOU SHALL SURELY DIE, YOU AND
ALL THOSE WHO ARE WITH YOU.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu stated about Obamalech’s proposed pre-1967 borders, “It’s not going to happen. Everybody knows it’s not going to happen, and I think it’s time to tell the Palestinians forthrightly it’s not going to happen.”
You’re right Mr. Netanyahu! Not because you say so, but because God says so. The truth is that the Jews will never again be driven out of Jerusalem or any part of Jerusalem. We read in Isaiah 11:11,
“The it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the
second time with His hand the remnant of His people
who will remain.“
We read in Jeremiah 24:6 God saying,
“…and I will plant them and not pluck them up.”
President Obamalech says there will be disagreements among friends but that he is willing to break an agreement that every modern president of the United States has kept between our countries. Obamalech is trying to force Israel to give up land deeded to her by Jahweh, land that is strategically important for her survival. Obamalech is betraying our only true ally in the Middle East. Obamalech is wanting to give Jahweh’s Jerusalem to Allah. In so doing, he is trying to take God’s Jerusalem – Abraham’s Sarah and give her to a pagan people and a pagan god. That is why we are renaming him:
“OBAMALECH.”
It all comes clearly into focus when we read Isaiah 61:1a,4,
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep
quiet….It will no longer be said to you, ‘Forsaken,’ nor to your land will it
any longer be said, ‘Desolate”; but you will be called , ‘My delight is
in her,’ and your land, ‘Married;’ for the Lord delights in you, and
to Him your land will be married.“
Like Abimelech taking Abraham’s wife Sarah away from him, so too Obamalech is trying to take Jahweh’s wife away from Him, and give God’s wife to a pagan people and god. What wife? Jerusalem and the entire Promised Land is married to God and is God’s wife. So much so that Jersalem and the entire Promised Land is called by God by the name of “Married.”
Obamalech and those with him in this regard are already dead men walking, for Jehovah God is extremely and jealously Jerusalem-Possessive and aggressively Canaan-Possessive like every loving husband would be for his wife. He will kill to protect and keep her from predators and kidnappers! Be warned Obamalech, hear what God is saying to youand yours!!!!
OPPEMHEIMER’S OBSERVATIONS
Now follows some very important and helpful insights from Mike Oppenheimer of Let Us Reason Ministries. Mike writes, “The land that Obama(lech) wants to be given to the Palestinians includes East Jerusalem, where the Temple Mount is located. All the sacred sites would fall into the Palestinians hands. You and I will no longer be able to visit them; they will be off limits like the temple mount is. They will be desecrated or destroyed as Muslims have done in the past. The giving up of land is addressed in Joel 3 and God punishes those who do this because of the covenant He made with Israel. This covenant is active and yet to be completed.”
Oppenheimer continues, “Netanyahu unwavering stated, ‘In an unstable Middle East, Israel is the one anchor of stability. In a region of shifting alliances, Israel is America’s unwavering ally. Israel has always been pro-American. Israel will always be pro-American.’ The question we need to ask is – if America is pro-freedom (democracy) why are we not pro-Israel? They are the only democracy in the Middle East. The Arab spring that we are watching is not about democracy but the unification of the Arab states to bring about new caliphate. The Arab spring will so turn into the dead of winter.”
“In returning the land to pre-1967 borders acquiesces to Islam and gives them a victory in war they lost when they attacked Israel. There is far more to this than a wrong decision. The president is coming from a point of view that the land involved that was won in 1967 was not theirs (Israel). This will bring a repeat of wars they fouight, and bring them into the ultimate war for all the land. This is all part of the jihad against Israel.“
My comment – In short, parceling out the Holy Land and the Holy City to the Palestinians is like tossing a few pounds of meat to ravenous tigers who will only want more and more. A piece here and there will only for the moment take the edge off the tigers’ frenzy. It will never end no matter how many token tosses are made.
Why? Oppenheimer continues, “It is only after Israel’s rebirth that Jerusalem became especially sacred to Muslims. Why do they think Jerusalem is theirs when the Qu’ran does not mention it? After Mohammed, Caliph Omar conquered Jerusalem from the Byzantine Romans in the 7th century and brought Muslim rule over the territory, they call it Waqfland. Meaning, this became their land and no one else’s. This is what they think of any land they have conquered. The same standard they apply to Israel is what they want to apply to Europe.” (And I might add, this is what they want to apply to America and the whole world.)
GOD CAN CHANGE OBAMALECH
Of course – He changed Abimelech. We are not talking about God saving Abimelech and Obamalech. It would be awesomely wonderful if Obamalech became a true born again Christian, which he is not. “WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT REDEEMING GRACE
BUT ABOUT RESTRAINING AND
REDIRECTING GRACE.”
As with Abimelech, Obamalech and all those with him are on a collision course with the God of Israel. Here:
“WE ARE NOT PRAYING FOR OBAMALECH’S BEING CURED OF
ISLAM, BUT FOR HIS BEING WITHHELD FROM ANTI-
SEMITISM AND REDIRECTED TO BEING PRO-
ISRAEL AND PRO-JEWISH JERUSALEM.”
If you will:
“TO THINK AND ACT LIKE TRUE BIBLICAL AMERICANS
HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT AND ACTED ABOUT
AND TOWARD ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM.”
Can God do this? Of course he can! How? By the impressions of the Holy Spirit, God can change Obamalech’s direction by redirecting the course of his thoughts, reshaping the bent of his desires, and thereby check him as he checked Abimelech on his path to sure destruction. And all of that in such a way that he himself doesn’t even understand why. We must pray:
“THAT GOD WILL LIKEWISE GIVE OBAMALECH A STRONG CHECK ON
HIS WAY TO DESTRUCTION AS HE DID TO ABIMELECH
ON HIS WAY TO DESTRUCTION.”
Listen, God has ways we have never imagined. God in Genesis 20 changed the death-course of Abimelech through a dream revelation and a dream death-threat. God in Genesis 33 melted the heart of an offended Esau through a deceitful brother’s bow and blessing. God in Numbers 22 stopped Balaam on his cursed course by means of a visionary, talking jackass. If you will:
“GOD’S RESTRAINING GRACE REDIRECTED THOSE
THAT HIS SANCTIFYING GRACE NEVER
REACHED.”
CONCLUSION
You see, hanging in the balance of all of this is America herself. God plainly said to Abraham in Genesis 12:3,
“And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who
curses you I will curse.”
Sensational and solemn stuff! When God says that He will bless those who bless Israel, He means more than ripened fields of grain, though I am sure that is included if we read Deuteronomy 28. God means that the Israel-Blesser shall have all of the power of Heaven to uphold him, all of the stars of heaven in their courses to fight for him, all of the angels of God to be his guards, and the Lord of Hosts Himself to be his Captain. What King, what Prime Minister, what President could be so dumb and deranged as to forego all of that.
But there is also God’s curse. Tiny Tim’s Christmas greeting simply doesn’t cut it when he says:
“GOD BLESS US EVERYONE.”
If it were only that simple, but it isn’t for our treatment of Israel and Jerusalem are two of the keys to either God’s blessing or curse.
As to the power of God’s curse of the Israel-Curser, we have but to point to the withered fig tree cursed by Jesus. Nothing but death and witheredness from the roots up. Antisemitism and anti-Jewish- Jerusalem leaders and nations are all Anti-Jahweh. And while there is the blessing and power-filled promise of Romans 8:31,
“If God is for us, who is against us?”,
there is strongly implied the exact opposite:
“IF GOD IS AGAINST US, IT DOESN’T MAKE ONE
BIT OF DIFFERENCE WHO IS FOR US.”
And the quickest way to unleash God’s curse is to come against Israel, Israel’s God, and God’s Holy City. Obamalech had better learn the lessons of Jewish history, and from such cursed emperors and empires as the Pharaohs and the Egyptian Dictatorship, Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian Empire, the Caesars and the Roman Empire, as well as Hitler and the Third Reich. All of them had Jewish blood on their hands, and God’s DNA analysis was and is infallible. It was a perfect match in each and every case, and the rest is cursed history down to this very day, which curse is again about to be unleashed on America if she stays on her present Obamalech course.
