A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending church services regularly, stopped coming to church. After several weeks of this absenteeism, the pastor decided that he would make a visit to the delinquent.
 
When the pastor made the call on him, it was a chilly evening. The preacher found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing and crackling fire in the fireplace. Already having guessed the reason for the pastor’s visit, the man welcomed him and led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace.

The American Bible Society tells us that 22% of the world’s population lives in China. And 1/3 of the world’s non-Christians also live in China. The actual number of Christians in China is difficult to be precise about. We are told from unofficial sources that the number can range from 20 million Protestants and 6 million Catholics to as many as 90 million collectively.

I have started an early morning daily Bible Study at the house of a man who used to be a drug addict and a gang robber. He as converted recently by a Gospel tract he received from me. One day when I was teaching God’s Word, a stranger walked in and started to tell me about his relative named Sam who had had a strange dream. In the dream Sam was asked to go to a certain village 10 miles away – even the name of the village had been mentioned in the dream – to look for a man who could tell him about the real God. The stranger who brought me this news told me that Sam was looking for me.
