I still have many friends who are hyper-Calvinists. To hear them speak, and to read their periodicals, one then realizes that they view the world as a stage. Men and women are merely players on that stage who speak their pre-written lines and act out their prescribed roles likes puppets on Divine strings. God does everything, writes the script’s monologues and dialogues, lays out every action and reaction, and we on the stage of life simply go through the motions. No more and no less.
In hyper-Calvinism, everything is Divinely pre-orchestrated and pre-arranged. It all reminds me of the story of the hyper-Calvinist who fell down the steps, and when he was able to get up and dust himself off he said, “Whew, I am sure glad that is over.”

 | CONDEMNED BY Kenneth E. Barnes | |
Lord, I do not have a name, but You know me. I can not speak or even hear, And my eyes I can not open, but my heart is full of fear. For tomorrow I shall be destroyed and they don’t even know who I am. It seems Lord that You had the same problem, for you too were also condemned. In your wisdom You have been here; Lord You know what everyone has been through. So please remember that I have existed, because no one will know but You. My mother shall never see me; never a smile on my face. I wonder, will she ever miss me? Will another ever take my place? Lord, I’m sorry I never got to know You. I’ll Never get to laugh or play. I’ll never get to see my brothers; I won’t even learn how to pray. And Lord, I wish tomorrow would never get here, because I can not scream or even cry. But I’ll feel the pain just as You did. Lord You know how it feels to die. But Lord, I shall get to know You, even though I was never born. Even though I was aborted, in Heaven I shall be adored.* |

THE STRANGER
A little girl sat crying in the schoolyard one day, When a stranger came up to her and began to say: "Sweetheart, why are you weeping? Is there anything I can do?" The little girl looked up and seeing a kind face asked, "Who are you?" The man said: "I’ve been watching you weeping; You’ve been crying for so long." Wiping the tears from her eyes she replied, "The teacher told me today that I couldn’t sing my favorite song." "Well now," said the stranger, "What song is so bad
That the words you cannot even say?" "The song was Jesus Loves Me," she sobbed, "I learned it in church last Sunday." |

Cathleen Falsani, columnist with the Chicago Sun Times, in 2004 interviewed President Barack Obama about his faith. At that time he was running for the Senate in Illinois. The following is the unveiling of President Obama’s religion and my comments about the President’s spiritual convictions and their implications for the United States under his presidency.
To hear President Obama talk abut his faith, there are those times that one would be led to conclude that he is devout Christian. He will say things like he did to Cathleen Falsani such as “I am a Christian” and “I have a deep faith.” However, the deeper Falsani dug, the more you realize that you indeed cannot judge a book by its cover, and that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. |

As we shall see in moment, it is far more than a prayer for America. It is a confession of national sin, and a cry for national repentance of and cleansing from her sinful ways. However, upon even closer notice, not national sins, but national sin, as Billy Graham reduces all of America’s sins to one, which is described in the Bible in Isaiah 5:20, and which we must Americanize:
“Woe to America who calls evil good, and good evil….”
One has to let that sink in slowly to feel the horror of it all, for when an entire nation calls evil good and good evil, the catastrophic effects of both are numberless and inconceivable. In fact, isn’t that what you have found yourself saying these days in reaction to this or that moral deterioration in America, “I don’t know what to say except it is inconceivable.” Why? Because: "A NATION THAT CALLS EVIL GOOD IN ESSENCE IS CALLING THE DEVIL DIVINE.” |
