 Early in my seminary days we were assigned one entire summer as interns to minister and learn ministry at the side of a superb, visionary servant of God by the name of Pastor Paul Veenstra in the Chula Vista Christian Reformed Church of Chula Vista California. It was an awesome summer of being discipled by a man who had a burning passion for souls. We grew so much under his ministry and life and caught his intense vision for the lost very quickly, as well as the demanding implementation of that vision. |

 THE BAR EXPEDITION
It was too late now. I was on the way. No matter that this was Pastor Skunkhollow’s idea, I was guilty of complicity in the endeavor. That means I was an accomplice, and the only way to get that off my ecclesiastical rap sheet was for him to stop the car and let me walk home. For you see we were now on the way to bar land, and I could already hear the words in the next church board meeting, “Bang, you’re dead!”

  There are many churches and pastors who talk a lot about church growth these days . What often do they mean? They are referring to CHURCH GROWTH by the BIG BANG THEORY. You know the EVOLUTIONARY BIG BANG THEORY don’t you? Well, evolutionists tell us that matter is eternal, and at a certain point, matter got so dense that there was a cosmic-spontaneous eruption, and when the dust settled here was this perfectly ordered universe. It is also called the SUPER DENSE THEORY, because you have to be super dense to believe it.

  God has His mighty warriors across the world in the global conflict against the anti-Christ and anti-Christian powers of darkness. The warfare is becoming ever fiercer, and as it does, I sense that the army of the Lord Jesus Christ is ever being heightened by the Holy Spirit in its bravery for and loyalty to their Master. Martyrs are now many and the deserters are few.
As we shall see in this exciting and gripping call to strengthen our faith in the Lord, the global war against the principalities and powers of darkness is being fought on every front and in every occupation. Jesus Christ has his faithful ones everywhere, and we must remember this:
"IT IS NOT FIRST OF ALL THE ABILITY BUT THE VALOR OF
THE SOLDIERS THAT ALWAYS WINS THE DAY."
